I've been to Belize...it's beautiful...has an amazing mixed culture...I'd say most police are very corrupt...the average people I met were very respectful and wanted respect in return...and no I'm not talking about resort staff...Belize city is great..but unless you have a local escort with you I wouldn't hang out after dark alone just like I wouldn't do in any big city I'm unfamiliar with...the people I met were positive, proud, and usually like Americans. This guy had terrible open wounds. Which the people didn't know how to tread them. But that isn't difficult at all, it just takes some time and some natural raw honey from a beekeeper. This honey makes the wound dry and cleans out and kills bacteria. Even in Europe you see people die from these kinds of wounds or people have to live with them, but these wounds will heal very slow with conventional treatment or no treatment at all. But with honey and daily cleaning with boiled water, clean towel and so much honey that the whole wound is filled. He has a very good change to heal up in a few weeks.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself ... I am sure that reality contrasts this video quite well...and you have already seen the many attractions that our country has to offer... So how dangerous is it? If you follow the usual precautions anyone should when traveling (even in your own county) you will avoid becoming a target. Even the dangerous gangs in the country recognize that tourism is a vital part of our economy, and thus the cases where tourists are targeted and attacked are the lowest in the region...
@albundy11046 жыл бұрын
If you go the regular tourist routes (Cays Ambergis and Caulker) , you have nothing to fear. Stay away from Belize City, as it is a royal shit hole. Other then the airport and its few surroundings, and the immediate vicinity of the sea port, you have NO BUSINESS in or near B.C. If you go to places like Placencia, Dangria or Punta Gorda, things are OK there, but still. If locals talk shit, just ignore it, don't escalate confrontations (male or female) even if you did not do anything and they are just rambling. In Belize, when it comes to words, it is similar to Jamaica, as words could kill (you). Many people are very sort tempered (like they say in the video). And considering that jail system in Belize is rather small, many petty crimes and assaults go down with essentially a slap in the wrist. And as we all know it, crime w/o a sufficient level of adequate punishment will only create more crime. In Placencia I saw a US expat getting threatened by a convenience store female beggar over her insistence in getting a dollar or two from the guy. He told her to fuck off, so she first began to trash talk with some really nasty racial slurs, and then she said that she knew where the man lived and (she) will have his face busted if he comes back, or even shoot him if she feel like it... That last one was probably a BS, but still. It was an ugly verbal fight, the one you can hear plenty of in NYC, Miami, or London, but there beggars rarely (plausibly) threaten people with violence. I also heard of a small group of young tourists getting assaulted and threatened with a gun and later robbed, over a bar shit talk. This was also in Placencia...

Belize was a nice quite ex British colony in Central America happily minding it own business. That is, until only a few years ago when someone opened an International Airport, and in poured the U.S tourists. Who, we might deduce, brought all their criminal behaviour with them !

This has to be the dumbest thing I've read in quite some time. I can guarantee you tourism has become one of the most, if not the mostl economical boost the country has seen. You must have missed the part where they say that Cartels from South America (Columbia) pay local gangs and even arm them to make sure drugs get into the states....get you're education up before speaking on matters you know nothing about.

Problem is we know people have kids for reasons, loads of people use them to get more welfare, there aint a doubt in my mind that some of these guys would try to hide behind kids to make the shooters think for a second so they can pull out a weapon. They'll just blame the shooter if anyone gets hurt its not them its somebody else the same kind of mentality they have for everything. How else we gonna make a living besides dealing drugs, i'm struggling with my family i can't afford to keep, uuuh.. maybe don't have a family until you have a stable job? otherwise you just put more kids right back into the drug situation when they don't get out.
@maddiesgamingchannel81636 жыл бұрын
dawfydd That’s very true in the US and other modern countries but there’s no welfare system there where they live to take advantage of. These people are pretty much on their own when it comes to surviving while being dirt poor, I mean ffs their 2 coast guard boats were confiscated lol. I guess that’s why violence is sky high in places like this? It’s like a free for all for money and survival.
