As a 72 yo Canadian who has loved travelling to the US in my younger days and who has met and made some wonderful friends there I am absolutely astounded by this total nonsense being spewed by these individuals. I honestly did not think such ignorance actually existed in America. The degree of stupidity and detachment from reality is beyond comprehension. I do worry for the future of America. And don't think for one minute that America's enemies aren't seeing this and sitting back and biding their time. I did some reading in psychology publications on why people believe in conspiracies. Among other things, it essentially comes down to intellectual insecurity. They need to feel they are one of the exclusive few who are “in the know” while the masses (aka sheep) are being deceived by a faceless nefarious elite. It gives them a sense of superiority in a world they’re not humble enough to admit they don’t understand. This is fertile ground for populist politics, which trump and much of the current crop of republicans are capitalizing on.

I was working at midnight for 12 years and was home sleeping when the plane hit the WTC. So, I don't need to go online or to any site to learn about 911. I lived it. I also have the health effects of spending days there in those first days. Also, all of the officers that went down during the day tour and the 4x12 in my precinct are dead, every last one of them. So I don't need to check any site to prove it happened; I WAS THERE!

That lady was trying *so* hard to get the reporter to say he heard it on the news about the judges. But the reporter was smart enough to see right through her attempts and correctly point out that they issued rulings independently and on their docket. So instead she was left with "I get my news from an alternate source" which is likely social media. She won't trust the judges themselves in their own words about their ruling, but she'll trust randos online telling her about their ruling so long as it fits her narrative.
