I was taught early in life that we'll never be able to pronounce God's name. But I always wondered, is our creator's name spoken by the trumpet of an elephant, the sqeak of a mouse, the songs of whales, the calls of birds. Humans still can't decode their languages. Do they know something that we'll never be able to translate? Just a thought.

It's your rational thinking (and personal dedication to it) that helped me in my deconstruction process. I have discovered an equally rational denomination in the United States, the ELCA. I was raised as a Christian Nationalist, and now I have found a church that supports the charity that Jesus demonstrated. Thank you for saying "Do they work on themselves so they see that no one is their enemy?" That's how I see it as well. I never liked the word enemy because in most cases it just leads to hate and divisiveness. It's so much better if we just try to understand why certain humans act the way they do, where it comes from. And also try to figure out why we act the way we do and what we can do to be more compassionate towards others and towards ourselves. I think the word "enemy" is misused so often these days. It's misused to demonize others, to dehumanize them. It's misused to feel superior and righteous and to put others down. It's misused to create fear and to control others. So thank you for mentioning that! ❤

I write, what I call thoughts from God. This am…it was a focus on being strong enough to be gentle. Not to judge, chastise others to validate my beliefs. I was asked to not fear gentleness with those I perceive as my enemy. “ Be strong enough to be gentle. Don’t fear gentleness , for I am with you, with all. So pray gently and thoughtfully nothing and no one is unworthy of my love. Put your hand up on your heart and ask God and for mercy be still and know so in your heart, be gentle to All…as I am” Rarely do I share, with strangers. Today, I did with many. 🙏🕊🌹

OMG, she looks so much like my narcissistic, abusive mother did in the last 20 years of her life, minus the pink hair! So much hate, rage, condemnation, and self-righteousness gleaming from her eyes! I almost stopped watching, simply because she makes me shudder! I agree with you- "In God We Trust" is about as ambiguous as they could get; which god, which religion? Plus, it was only added at the beginning of the Civil war, which the fundies and MAGA are attempting to recreate in their image. Growing up in Georgia, I saw flyers and ads for Civil War Renactments every year and even knew a few people who got dressed up and pretended the South won- it was so sad and depressing that so many people wanted that kind of world.

My experience is God usually speaks using others or his creation or surprise things that happen. I listen and that’s how I can hear. Is there another way? I’d like a chat over coffee, but it hasn’t happened.

I often wonder about those kinds of prophets, too. There is one I was watching today and the "word" (as they often like to call it) they received from God was about Donald Trump and how the perceived one world government hates America because it stands in its way for power & control. I sat there saying, "How am I supposed to use Scripture to test this?" The bible never mentions America, Donald Trump, or a perceived one world government. I am asking that in a sincere fashion and the conclusion I reach is: I can't test this against the source of truth that exists for reproof, correction, etc. Then I wonder, if I can come to this conclusion, why don't these prophets? Why are they not testing what they are hearing to see what sort it is? When I read what the prophets of the bible said, they say what prophets who came before them said. The message never changes. What does change is the people who need to hear it, because humans are forgetful creatures.

This morning I was reading Second Peter chapter two. Pretty much was about what you are talking about. Peter telling us false prophets will be among believers. Talk about their money motive and false teachings. Peter telling us this was going on in Old Testament times and in his time. Nothing new under the sun. Still going on.

Just to be clear, this Kerr woman is to my knowledge no kin of mine. I have had a few clearly prophetic dreams in my life; but in every case they were intensely personal in content and obviously not intended for public consumption or instruction. I do not for one second imagine myself fit or worthy to pretend to speak for God. Anyone who does so needs to check their arrogance carefully before peeping up! Omnipresent Omniscient Omnipotence is entirely capable of speaking for Itself in all places and at all times. In the meantime, we can only reflect the Love in our hearts and make it real in the world around us.

Same thing as money with God's name on it. Christmas is excused to only goodness for God on that day. It's same with money, ... No right teaching tells a child God is money or Christmas is only 1 good day - How is that teaching morals to any growing mind spirit heart. So what does a person do all the rest of the days of their growing life, in the gaps between 1 day called Christmas, to learn. God. Money is Christmas centered, Christmas and money are almost the same. We aren't able to know anything as a child unless you teach us as we're a child. So MAGA or whatever prophet says put GOD on a coin, or a dollar isn't teaching 1 thing. It's covering over. To cover up. To lure. To lie to. To justify the money. To use only money. Not think. Take a girl growing up, she has no clue that her body is her own unless you tell her. So why can't prevention be 1st place. Undoing that teaching makes more energy for the child to know truth. So teach the girl protection of her "self".. not just birth control. A guy isn't her savior. He's a sac of energy. Just like money. Unless it's respected, the girl, or money, or God, or Christmas or the days in the gaps. All have no value. Value isn't anything unless a person hears you teach it & you learn it. I didn't get any toys until christmas waiting for them all year and starved almost every day waiting for10 pm to eat food that day. I asked later for a football and 1 board-game. I got a huge size box with a tennis racket, basketball, football, tennis balls, a net, and asked for more, then received a backboard to play basketball. I was ignored before that because my parents worked. Nobody saw me. Or talked to me. Because everyone played football or wanted to sing.

Knowing the actual name of God is like the secret handshake, anyone who can say it has proven they are not human. Suppose the name of God is complex and not capable of being uttered by human beings. The ineffable name of the great I AM is represented by a proxy 4 letter substitute used as a sort of simplified nickname humans are able say. But there is one name of God humans are "authorized" to use to call upon God and that name is Jesus.

It falls in line with the Serenity prayer in Christianity. That’s how you know that it is a good teaching, because it comes to you from more than one source.

We have to be very careful with the name of God we assume to be correct. There is one in the Old Testament who sent stones & serpents to his children... Christ Jesus gave this warning: Matthew 7:9-11 King James Version 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? I can't believe how many naive people would follow these false prophets. The prophets tickle the ears and listeners believe what they want to hear, which is 'we are special, we deserve more, God is on our side, we want to be the best in the eyes of the world, we want MORE!' More what? Christians here and in the US are probably the most prosperously blessed, compared to the rest of the world. And that could be the problem; maybe these churches, prophets need more humility and thankfulness.. Instead of giving God the glory (God the Father through Jesus Christ), the whining from some christians is a grievous, one would think, to the Holy Spirit. The world around us is experiencing natural disasters and trials of the soul, while these slick ones use the gospel to cash in. May God give us all discernment in these last days!

There is a thing in Native American Animism that may help you in teaching this important lesson. The Grandfather-of-all does not send one message through one Prophet. What you would call God does not speak only through one Prophet. He sends thousands, so that you know that all of them are speaking the truth. If I tell you that Grandfather spoke to me and said that brown-eyed people are his chosen people, my blue eyes would tell you that I may be speaking the truth. That’s the other part of it that people miss. Jesus spoke of the Samaritan with great reverence, which tells you that god may have truly been speaking to him. Jesus spoke out for the small, weak, poor and hungry, rather than hoarding riches for himself, which means he may have been speaking god’s words, unlike the Sanhedrin. Thomas doubted the resurrection. Jesus didn’t call him an unbeliever and cast him out, did he? No, Jesus proved it to Thomas. You’re supposed to deny a prophet until they prove they are real. That’s in your Bible. I’m sure there will be some that accuse me of heathen idolatry without actually understanding what I have written here. They may be right or they may be wrong. That’s on them, isn’t it?

One thing has always aggravated me about the hecklers who ridicule by asking How is it you know when God is speaking to you, is it the sound of a really deep voice? And for that Matter God loves everyone…. But we are all sinners…. Jesus goes to the Prostitute at the well, tells her all about herself and has Her go into town to spread the good word…. He ALSO tells her you WILL STOP NOT ACT ON your sinning(prostitute) any longer, ever. So do I love people who are gay or trans, yes…. To come to the Lord do they need to STOP NOT ACT ON their desires, YES!!!! You as a Fake Priest can not just allow them into the house on behalf of GOD, he has already shown us the way!!!! And that was through Jesus!!!
