I live in this county and I just want to point out a couple things 1. This is a college county that leans aggressively blue (correction: the country broadly doesn't, the main city, Kent does) Its the county with Kent State in it if that's any indicator. 2. There are A LOT of Harris-Walz signs in Portage. So when this place goes blue like it always does, he'll be making a list of the majority of the county I'm guessing. 3. This sheriff is up for re-election this year sooooo... 🤷🏽‍♂️ maybe if we're lucky he won't be sheriff much longer.

If I may insert a tiny bit of good news into this, I live in the Maga-ist of Maga Country. From 2016 through 2022, every second or more car sported a bumper with a Trump sticker on it. Multiple trucks kept Trump flags waving off the sides, and I tip-toed my way through living here. Now, I might see 1 bumper still displaying a Trump sticker from 4 years ago, none that are current, and businesses that used to display Trump posters have removed them because they were losing money. I read an article about a bar which owned a billboard in front of it that was rented to the Trump campaign, and the owner said people started avoiding his bar after it went up. Missourians are slow to trust, but once they feel they were double-crossed, they will forget you exist. Even better, we now see Harris/Walz stickers on cars. Sadly, every other political sign for state and county level are GOP, so my neighbors haven't fully figured out that the snake is still a snake from the head to the tip of the tail.

I'm sure some locals have reached out to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, but anyone here who is so inclined might do the same. Every case Zuchowski ever touched should be reviewed for bias.

I'm a resident of this county and filed a complaint through the governors website and his Twitter. But it goes deeper: this dude was sued by 3 of the towns in our county for stealing money meant to combat drugs on our streets, which is a problem here. Last year there were complaints from the local naacp that they were targeting African-American citizens. He used the sheriffs offices letterhead to write an official statement to complain about the Cleveland baseball team changing its name from 'indians' to 'guardians'. This is his first term and he's achieved all that already. It's insane this dude is allowed to get away with all this. He's abused his position to promote his rasict ideology, embezzle, annd intimidate the citizens... I mean what more needs to happen before this is addressed? That's why he feels comfortable writing this garbage, he views himself as above the law and the owner of the county. He doubled down on these statements in another post were he called it: "my county" and said 'people who vote for liberals should be held responsible for their actions... I'm a law man...not a politician'... which is more of a direct threat than the original post. The FBI seriously needs to investigate this guy.

I live in a red area of the most important and coveted swing state. I was told by red leaning coworkers that if Trump doesn't win by ballot, then they will "win" by bullet. I am seriously concerned about the fallout from the most likely Harris/Walz win. You can't reason with these people either as they have been led to believe that this election is some kind of good vs evil Christian war. I'm actually sick with anxiety. As someone who lives in a red rural town in a swing state, this is so validating…friends have told me I’m being paranoid or unreasonable when I say I’m afraid to talk about or openly show my views. They say there are way more Trump signs in the area simply because there are more Trump supporters, and that leftists can be just as crazy and violent as the far right. This hits close to home. I used to live in a very red rural district in Colorado. Trump paraphernalia was up all around me. Basically, I was ostracized in my own neighborhood. The local feed store owned by a Texas company became a very uncomfortable place to shop. They moved all the guns and ammo up by the front door and the staff were free to verbally trash democrats in very loud political discussions with their fellow Trump supporters and shoppers. As a 60 something widow, I no longer felt safe. Sold my house and got the hell out of that area as soon as I could.
