I clicked this out of curiosity, expecting absolutely nothing. What I got was a song I can't seem to stop playing. A lot of what these ML algorithms come up with remind me of things I've seen in dreams, or past psychedelic experiences. It's kind of uncanny sometimes, how much it reminds me of things I saw with eyes closed on dissociative drugs, which at high enough doses can sort of shut down signals from the body and take the part of you left experiencing things zipping through grand, and ever evolving eye-popping sequences of dreamlike scenes. It starts with simple geometry and colors over a deep black backdrop that fills out with more intricate and recognizable forms as you look on and try to make sense of what it is (the shifting adapts to what you perceive in it in real time,) but I swear, the more complex arrangements of colors, the way lines come together... it's freaky how much it jogs the memory. That was like 10 years ago now, but seeing this makes it feel like it was yesterday. Like... even describing this trips me out, because I realize I am roughly approximating the actual process used to generate this kind of visual art. Art is amazing. It's crazy to see experiences you could never pin down descriptively be rendered in such a convincing way. Perhaps this technology is hiding some secrets about how our own brains work from us, that may one day change how we understand the human experience. That would be wild!
@giovannigracia7272 жыл бұрын
I don't think they could've done a better job with this video. It perfectly encapsulates everything that this album is. It's like they knew what was going through everyone's heads when first hearing this song and made it into this video. Just a perfect blissfully ethereal experience this was.

@@x.2196 that is basically what happens.. you just feed the video through the AI (giving it prompts (descriptive sentences) at certain points for style and content etc ..once you get used to it (there are many different versions out already) it's quite simple but can take forever to generate all the frames (then you normally have to upscale all the frames and use another thing to interpolate between the frames to smooth it out :)

@@veil6666 idk if this is as much a glimpse into future media as it seems at first glance. This is basically a matter of creating a video from scratch already, and running it through an 'AI Filter', in less words. Having a peak inside of the engine demystifies a lot of the things we describe as AI visuals. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this video was simply done by feeding all of the frames of the original music video into the AI imaging machine, and have it imaging to the original video, so it's roughly approximating what it knows of the original video, to discern what its seeing in the original video. Maybe there was a different process, but that's how I would do it to try to recreate this effect.
