MAGDEBURG: More details about Taleb A. “Double life is bewildering!” Have the authorities failed?
According to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bamf), they received a tip-off about the alleged perpetrator of the attack at the Magdeburg Christmas market. The tip-off was received via social media channels in late summer last year, the Bamf wrote on the X platform on Saturday. “Like all the other numerous tip-offs, this one was taken seriously.”
Since the Federal Office is not an investigative authority, the person providing the information was referred directly to the responsible authorities, as is usual in such cases, it said.
Screenshots are currently circulating on the internet that are said to show messages from a person with warnings about the alleged perpetrator Taleb A. to the Bamf. The authenticity of these screenshots could not be verified at first.
