In this episode of Solo Playthroughs, Greg returns to Atlantis with his first recorded playthrough of Volkare's Return BLITZ! Finding the city and getting ready to battle Volkare in only 4 rounds puts an incredible amount of pressure on our mages. If anyone is up for the task, it's our favorite mana-juggling, high-flying dragon: Goldyx. The combination of the Blitz rules along with the Lost Legion rules means more potential options for our hero. But only time will tell if it will be enough. Can Goldyx traverse the countryside to find that city before Volkare does? And, if so, will Goldyx manage to vanquish every last one of Volkare's legion? Watch to see!

Thanks for sharing. 1 dmg short happened once my first time play wolfhawk. The snowball after one decision making is the fascinating part of the game.

38:28 still remember that comment from like 2+ years ago when someone mentioned that you usually pick your rewards and level-ups too quickly without thinking of the actual benefits of each of the options, and this way would often pick a possible sub-optimal choice. this was clearly - not one of those instances.

Ha! The way this one played out, I do wonder how this plays out with the Sword of Justice. But I really needed that Siege Attack to take down that city in Round 3. I just had such a hard time getting attack into my deck this game - the Sword of Justice could have really helped that when I broke it!

Good game, it's always tough when you are only one point short! At 42:43 the subtitle said you could've drawn 2 more cards for the strong effect of Temporal Portal - since you used the stronger effect, is this correct? My understanding of the stronger effect is that you can either move two spaces (which you did) and increase your hand limit by 1, or move no/one space and increase your hand limit by 2. I think you had 4 cards in hand so could've drawn up to your hand limit (6) plus one for Planning (which I think you did) plus one (not two) for Temporal Portal?

What kind of card sleeves do you use? Are those non-glares? They are awesome!

Thanks for the comment/question! My Mage Knight cards are primarily sleeved with Zoopins (the green and blue sleeves) and UltraPros (the black sleeves). I really like them! If it helps, if you go to my Mage Knight videos from a few months ago, I used to put Amazon links to the various products I use in the descriptions of my videos.

are you editing all over the place or does your camera not get focus so your hands and cards look blurry? i have noticed that already on other videos of yours. On this one this feels more than on other videos, especially that part around 18:00 - 18:15 still great video. i love watching your Mage Knight videos!

Hey Kev! Yeah - that’s just a lot of editing w/ “cross dissolves”. I don’t use transitions when my face is on camera but I use them for the overhead camera. That said, I probably should start experimenting with other transitions and/or be more selective in when I use the cross dissolves. I’ll experiment in future videos!

Blitzs are really tough, coming in with just 1 attack point short is damn impressive. I had a feeling that you have edited this video more than the usual (cutting out drawing etc.), am I right? In around 30:00, when you defeated the Orc War Beast you haven't get your +1 to the rep track.

Shoot - that +1 rep could have come in handy, too! 🙂 As for editing, I did edit this one a bit more aggressively. A couple times I realized I forgot to say my card draw out loud, so I just cut it. Generally, I try to leave things in when there is audio to go with the video.
