I'm addicted to watching Trump play decks filled with cards that get more cards, but dying before he plays any of the impactful cards because he just wants to get more cards.

Some people play card games because they love games. Trump plays because he loves cards. Every deck he plays seems to achieve a 9-10 card hand ASAP then stays there like that’s the actual way to win HS.

I love how in the first episodes he comes to the realization that he isnt going to climb with a 40 card value as wincon deck, decides to play a 40 card deck with value on his main channel, and now switches to a 40 card no win con deck with conflicting value for his f2p climb. At this point I think VA needs to be called (Value Anonymous), because Trump we as your friends are worried about your addiction to value.

@@polyfoxgames9006 some value cards play around your mana curve issues to smooth them out and give you more options to get to your win con whilst some value options are pretty much to generate you extra win cons that your opponent cannot counter with their archetype. In Trumps case, he plays cards that are aimed at both and he ends up with 25 options that all confuse the fuck out of him on what to do next, he ropes 3-4 turns and its gg.

@@saxinantay3244Adding on a bit, you can also think of it as “How much would this suck to draw later on?” Drawing synthesize on Turn 10 doesn’t feel great, while Babbling Book can get you a really nice spell. On the other hand, Book on turn 1 might get you a 10 cost that you can’t so anything with, so rounding out your curve with Synthesize would serve you better. I’ve never really thought about it like that before, so I’m going to be using it in the future for some explanations, thanks.

Only Trump could stuff a bunch of value cards into Naga Mage, beat people with the Naga package and the burn while gaining little from the value cards, and then use that as a proof of concept for a F2P 40-card value deck

I think generally it is better to buy arena tickets than to buy the 100 gold packs. Unless you do a very bad run, you will typically get 50+ gold and a pack. So the pack will be cheaper. Good if going f2p!

the game vs dk was almost definitely a win, if u go through ur turns u coulda played faster around 5-6 times. theres basically almost a 0% chance u run out of cards with this deck.

u could play the 2/5 pirate to draw amalgam the caprain and corsair are def worse than minstrel. i guess w enough draw the corsair is ok but try bring in amalgam. can get u hooktusk. vizier isnt super great in rogue. its ok with jolly and the 25 pirate tho.

To be honest, its one of those cards that WOULD be excellent in a non-inflated environment with slower games, but as it is it takes so much extra mental effort and skill to use it, compared to how easy it is to replace with a good card in any deck that its simply hilarious. Maybe in an era starved for good cards and using fillers cards like that would live, but its so easy to craft legend-worthy meta decks now with cheap cards.
