I noticed you have a towel rigged on the front of your Salty for when it's in your truck, for protection. Great idea. Mine got scraped up when I was transporting it home. How exactly are you rigging that?

Oh that was a simple thing, cause I noticed it was doing the same for my Salty 😂 But I just put half of it inside of the truck tool box and then bump the kayak to it, get a bungee cord and anchor it down to a couple of eyelets I had in the box

Bro. U literally kept a 1 14" trout n one of ur videos. Ur not a angler or a decent fisherman. Tourist like u r part of the reason y we only get 2 weeks 4 flounder. I bet u couldn't even tell the difference between the 3 species of flounder we have here.

@@KENDOSLICE100 Little did you probably know that I am actually really close to being an ichthyologist, so I do understand the importance of size and creel limits, but also on how the majority of spotted sea trout that are above 20”s are females, so if you only keep really big trout, you are actually hurting the species instead of helping, on average a female 20” spotted sea trout will lay up to 1,000,000 eggs if they are older and a younger one will lay up to 100,000 eggs. Will all of them survive, no, do to the ecosystem around, yes humans included, but mostly other fish. The 3 flounder that we have in NC are the summer flounder, southern flounder, and Gulf flounder. The southern flounder is the one that is on the near threatened list. The actual reason NC doesn’t have a longer flounder season is not because of recreational fishers like ourselves, but the commercial fishers, they are not regulated as hard as we are, trust me I’m frustrated about that too. You will see in future years when the commercial fishing is better regulated, we will adopt the same or similar size and creel limits as VA and SC. But in fishery management, you’ll learn the importance of taking out smaller fish in an ecosystem to make for an overall better fishery. Most won’t understand that until they have actually first hand studied and witnessed it for themselves. And I’m actually not a tourist, I’ve been coming to and studying the Kure Beach area for years now, and the small fish I kept between 2 trips you’re referring to, were simply for my grandma… the croakers, black drum, and that spotted sea trout, not for me.
