This game just looks and plays sooo smooth and beautiful! The music is fantastic. For some reason, the world map music sounds like a mix of Harry Potter and the Award Ceremony music from Star Wars A New Hope! Love it. The customisation looks massive as well! You're easily the best youtuber at the moment, especially for RPG's. I lost it with your voices for the mother and the old man... That proper old country west London farmer accent kills me every time! Please don't stop them every! Some of the Party characters sound cool. Id go with Martial Artist, as i am a martial artist myself, so instantly drawn to them. Loving this so far and cant wait for more. Thanks Mage!

So, I don't know about renaming party members, but if you go upstairs in the party planning place, you can create new party members. Including the new Monster Wrangler, which is more like a blue mage than a wrangler, as they don't add monsters to your party.

Seeing people commenting some advice that could be spoilers, I think they do it because the older versions of this game tended to be clueless at a lot of points, so they mean well when try to help. However, this version is apparently much more friendly to beginners and you can always find the right character or guidance in the game that tells you what to do or where to go.

6:03 DQ3 came out in February 1988. 2 years before FFIII came out in 1990. So yeah Dragon Quest III was the original pioneer of the Job system that both FFIII and FFV copied and added/tweaked on so yeah mage this game is the shit in japan so better respect it.

Correctamundo. However, Dragon Quest terms the classes as "vocations". Now, although I typically prefer the shorter syllables terms, "vocation" just has a nicer ring to my ear than "job" does.

If you feel like switching a party member then I'd just go for it. The exp curve will have them caught up pretty quickly, and it's not like you're trying to keep everyone at the same level since they're already leveling unevenly

Yeah, the English translation of DQ is top-tier, they're absolutely developing the original with those creative monster names and dialogues. Also, I'd like to apologize for being sarcastic about some points of this remake. It's just that Western censorship is way over people's head here, in Japan, yet they're unifying that in the versions all over the world (in the old DQ, they censored it only overseas, like dead companions in coffins were changed into "invisible persons"). The first DQ3 came out in 1988, by the way.

Thief, gadabout, warrior, mages and merchant tend to level up faster than other vocations,The hero level up slowly but because it can't be change is you won't have to from level to wher your other party members are in the level, priest and sage at a good pace also known as average and monster wrangler it's new and i don't know much except you need one for the new monster arena since he is the only one that can tame friendly monster after encountering Monty

Mage talking about maybe renaming party members and making it further in his first journey through this game. I have a thought on what vocation you will be in my game but i'll stay quiet for now. The pre-order bonus kit is so nice and thanks to the elevating shoes, my Gadabout on Xbox is 5+ levels ahead of everyone else. Certainly is the Mage way to go into dangerous territory as early as possible.

Also, you should go to Reeves at night. Not for any reason, but the night song of the town is the best music in the game, imo. It’s that music that makes me go back to DQ3.
