Sabri Sisters are nieces of legendary Qawwal Amjad Sabri. He was shot dead in 2016 at the age of 39 (Amjad's father Ghulam Farid was an even more renowned figure for his pioneering efforts in Qawwali), so the sisters took it upon themselves to carry forward their family's legacy. Sabri Sisters were criticized because Qawwali is an almost exclusively male genre + a lot of Qawwali 'purists' thought they were bringing dishonor to/not living upto the legacy of their last name. So yeah, the backstory of Maghron La absolutely gives its lyrical content a lot more weight.

They are not directly Amjad's nieces. Their grandfather was Ghulam Farid's brother. Ghulam Farid's family tree doesn't allow women and therefore disliked that someone from his brother's family was building on that association. Pretty frivolous and unfortunate.

Just want to add one thing that you guys missed out in the reaction is the impact of Nasir from Quick Style on this song. To me the song went to a completely different level when the dance and the beat kicked in towards the very end and the camera work and production with the slow mo effect also greatly enhanced the visual appeal manifolds. I have said this earlier and will say it again that when a song is released by Coke Studio, I wait for you guys to react to it to see if we have felt the song the same way. The name "Sabri" became linked with the late Amjad Sabri, and these girls, who are from the same extended family, adopted the group name "Sabri Sisters." During a TV talk show where they were performing Naat (nasheed), a sister of Amjad Sabri stated live on TV that they should refrain from using the Sabri name, as they were not part of Amjad Sabri's family, and she does not know these girls. She accused them of attempting to exploit Amjad Sabri's legacy falsely. Moreover, she mentioned that in their Sabri family, women typically refrain from such activities, suggesting that the sisters were bringing disgrace to the family name. This incident deeply distressed them, prompting them to make the difficult decision to abandon their singing careers. Nonetheless, the rest is history.
