Because it was competition and all other contestants were already well known singers in China and have their own fan base. In opposite, he came as a dark horse, from the foreign land, not speaking local language, he had to impress and awe the audience with all means. That's why every and each his performance is showcase of all his talents, vocal acrobatics and abilities. And he succeeded. So young and able to captivate millions! As Matt said several times very impressive.

So true....listening to Dimash (as a singer myself) is like you are compatriots with him to a certain point, singing along with him (except I lose breath in certain phrases,😲😶🤯😆) and then it’s just like........🚀a rocketman (with power and height) he goes up into the stars where we can’t follow but can blissfully observe and enjoy....Dimash is truly a singer’s Singer!!! Great reaction!! I feel the same way about Dimash and his amazing "out-of-this-world" vocals. I never tire of listening to him sing. In every song he sings, there is always that element of surprise; just when you think he's done it all, he comes out with something new and unexpected that blows your mind. And I love how he sings every song with so much emotion and passion. He's not just performing, he's feeling the song... and expressing it with pure emotion. All of Dimash's performances on The Singer are amazing...but you are a year behind...in the last year he has done 3 movie, 2 game and a tv drama OST...several concerts...Gakku tv, Fuzhou, Changsha, and Bastau....at these concerts he sings most of the songs he did on the Singer.... introduces 2 more original songs, and he is singing for his fans ...
