This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode]. This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely. Thank you guys for reaction! This song is one of the five most hard songs to sing in French. Dimash set bar even higher as he took this song in to another level. This song was arranged to his wide range. Within these song he sounded like multiple people singing: there were tenor, baritone, bass and soprano voices!

❤️❤️❤️❤️ According to most vocal analysts, Dimash doesn’t sing his high notes in falsetto but a high head voice. He does sometimes sing falsetto in his lower register. The best comment I’ve read about Dimash is that if we are ever invaded by aliens and they give us only one chance to prove we are worthy of saving, just have Dimash sing and we will live on. Saying “falsetto in his lower register” is a mistake. Falsetto is a technique used by singers to sing higher than their normal range. In fact Dimash is no singing in falsetto as his vocal range goes from D2 to D8 allegedly ( notice that D2 is a very low note). Now, there’s a big difference between singing in a low register vs singing in a high one. You can reach higher notes with falsetto but there’s no technique to reach lower notes. If you don’t have a lower register, you don’t have a low register. There’s not much to do about that.

If you continue with his "Singer" competition, be prepared that each of his song is different and has its own different WOW factor.That is what I like most. Dimash can not be put in one box , there are different genre, hi notes , low notes, fun, tears, goosebumps, you name it, you will find it in next performances. Love your reaction. It made me laugh when heard your descriptions of "eating babe angel". An innovative thinking, haha. When the first time I watched it, I just shocked with goosebumps and thought he is an angel. Please go on doing reaction on Dimash. This is the first song he sang in this singer 2017 competition.. China and the other competitors are hearing him for the first time.... He entered as a dark horse, no one knew him or even heard him sing.. So they had him go first and he turned out to be so Amazing, that now no one wants to go first or even be the one to follow him after he is done singing.. Thanks for your reactions...

Always happy to meet new people enjoying Dimash with me...Here are some hints...first.. never use the term "falsetto" with Dimash...That is in fact his head voice, and there is a difference...Second... as wonderful as his performances are on the Singer show...that was over a year ago, and he has done so much more since then...Concerts...(he sings most of the singer songs again)...Television productions.....OSTs for 3 movies...including Jackie Chan's new movie, and the Power Ranger's new movie...2 video game OSTs...One of which won an award as the best game OST for the composer..go to YT...tencent video..Dimash/Earth Song/Victor for a real treat...Go to YT ...Gloria Wu... for English translations for a lot of his vidos.....In short if you only watch the Singer shows... you are missing the broader picture of Dimash's talents....Every thing from Pop, Jazz, Rap, Opera and musical theater....Dimash fans are legion...Do it right and you will have fans from all over the world...Good luck...hope to see you again real soon.....

This was the first night of the competition and Dimash was made to perform first. His practice sessions had not gone well...which is hard to believe, but the show did not think the voters (the audience) would respond well to his performance!!! As it turned out, he won first place for SOS and Opera 2. "Eating baby angels" is a great way to explain his magnificent voice Thank you guys for your wonderful reaction and for appreciating Dimash's talent!!!

Guys, stop saying he has amazing falsettos. Dimash is a tenor altino. He’s singing in head voice (not falsetto). Allegedly, Dimash’s vocal range is 6 octaves (D2 to D8).
