A quick review of this incubator and some of our duck eggs hatching.

Hello what’s the perfect temperature for Peking duck eggs

99.5 F until they start to hatch then drop to 98.5 F

On the display I have HU, Hd,d7, LS, HS ,CA,AH,AL. What is d7? It has a scale from 0 to 200.

When do I move them down to the section closer to water

When you reach the "lockdown" stage you remove the turner and move them down. This gives the chicks more room. I hatch duck eggs and they go 28 days and "lockdown" at day 26. Others will be different but most eggs "lockdown" 2 to 3 days before hatch date. Good luck and let me know how they do.

Mine is broken. The LED won't display anything except bars. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

That's the first time of heard of one doing that. I would call manufacturer. Number should be in manual. Keep me posted on outcome.

Going to be using my Janoel 12 in a few weeks! I am wanting to hatch at least 9 duck eggs. Hopefully they fit ok if not I'll leave out the turner tray and turn myself. Thanks so much, this was a great video!

@@DoubleMFarmHomestead I think I will be taking it out unless I purchase less eggs. How long do you keep your chicks in the incubator before transferring to the brooding box? It seems very tight inside and I don't want them getting squeezed in this incubator.

@@GranC53 Without turner you can remove "middle" tray. This gives more head room. Even if you use turner you will be taking it out at the end for hatching. I had three hatched at same time and they had plenty of room. I took them out as soon as they were dry. Ducks don't need brooding heat if they are indoors with no drafts. What kind of ducks will you be hatching?

I followed the directions for the humidity and it said to add about 60ml water about 1-2 days. Although I’m hitting about 70% humidity. Any suggestions to lower that?

Yes, that's just a general rule. A lot depends on the surroundings. Just remove some water from bottom and keep an eye on it. Humidity should come down. If you are doing duck eggs the extra humidity in most cases wan't hurt them. I find my duck eggs do better with higher humidity. Good Luck.

Hi my top display is at 37.5 and I have a temp, hydrometer that sets inside by the eggs it’s reading 95.6 how did you regulate between the two temp readings

I only used the "top display" and didn't have anything inside. It worked great for me. Good luck with yours. Let me know how it works out.

How do you set the temperature

It's very easy to do. There are two buttons on top, one raises temp and the other lowers it. Setting will show as it goes up or down.

How do you do the humidity I’m about to start incubation duck eggs?

You put water in the bottom of this one. Ducks need it high so I also sprayed the eggs once a day and kept the water around 1 inch deep in bottom.

Yes, but with the "turner" you will not get many in there. I would guess 4 to 6. If you are willing to turn them by hand you can get 12 or more, depending on size. Thanks for watching. I have more vids about it on my channel.

Hey there! I’ve had my incubator on for a week and had put in 1 cup of water at 37.5 Celsius. The water hasn’t evaporated yet. Do you think something is wrong with the incubator?

No, I didn't have to add water very often. Depends on how many and what kind of eggs plus the humidity in the room. Keep me posted on how it does.

@@DoubleMFarmHomestead thanks for the reply! I have 17 quail eggs in there. I have not had to add water at all in the past week. Maybe I should get a humidity reader to confirm everything is working properly?

It’s my first time incubating eggs! I’m going to be doing five chicken eggs. Do you need to spray for humidity for the chicken eggs? I’m a little confused on that part? I do want to use the Turner :)
