Very nice review, Cari. I agree that the price for the kit compared to what you get is really great. I am, actually, a little surprised they didn't include a brush or two, though. I seem to recall that you really liked at least one of their brushes, and it seems like this would be the perfect place to "advertise" how good their brushes are. I am limiting myself to just Light Elegance because otherwise I would be even more broke than I am, but I have to admit you've tempted me with this one.

The ombre brush is my fav. In the video I used the #6 brush and really liked it. It's a bit smaller than their #7 and I find I can use it for applying their gel paints and builder gels. I just wish they'd make these brushes with lids. Other than that, no complaints. :-). Thank you for your comment. It's so interesting to read what others think. xo

I tried their other starter kit about 6 or 7 yrs ago and found the gels hard to work with back then. You seemed to have no issues when applying it, I may have to give it another try. I really like the acrygel consistency. You're design is gorgeous!!! 💜 tysmftv 😊

it all depends on the viscosity you prefer to work with. Brushes also make a huge difference, at least for me it does. When I did my review on the original starter kit a few years ago I loved the builder gels, especially the Ultra silk. :-)

I really enjoyed watching your video. I'm having the worst time with lifting and I use LE Extreme and also 1 Step. My nails are so soft I've tried all their bonders and still have lifting. Have you ever tried LE Manicure? Jimmy Gel comes right off and I'm so discouraged. I need some advice. Again I really look forward to watching your videos and love the colorful design on your nails with all the different colors

1-step is a rigid gel so if your nails are weak or thin, that's not the gel to use. When I use 1-step, I see lifting before I'm done finish filing my nails. The more flexible, the better for your type of nail (and mine too). I found extreme to work way better on the majority of my clients with no lifting. I was using Cool Gel but Extreme seemed to be even better with no lifting. With all the hand sanitizer being used the increase in dryness and lifting was greater. Get your clients to use professional cuticle oil religiously. Lifting can happen for many reasons, one being improper nail prep. I've never had issue using ONL acid primer from INM (in many of my watch me work videos) LE Tack then Extreme. As for Magic gel, I've been having great success with the Magic's bonder, then Silicone Thin base then Ultra Silk. or Nail guard depending on the client and the service. Ultra Silk has added adhesion. So many techs have seen a big difference. As for the Jimmy Gel "coming right off", not sure what that could be without seeing the nail after the product came off. JG is a 60 sec cure in LED. My clients go 6+ weeks using JimmyGel and a gel polish. With LE it's not a "one size fits all" . If you are using tack, use it sparingly and scrub it into the nail. I never had luck with LE's Vita prime so I stick with my ONL primer when using LE. Hope this helps somewhat. Let me know if you have more questions xo

@@AuraliteNails I have tried Vita Prime, Air Bond and Tack on my nails and still have lifting at the cuticle. It's so frustrating. I have LE Extreme also and still have no success. @@cynthiamcwhorter6721 without seeing what's going on at the cuticle for lifting, it's hard to troubleshoot. Just by reading your explanation it sounds like you may be getting too close to the cuticle with the product which if there is gel on the cuticle it will lift no matter what you use. But it's hard to say exactly what's going on without seeing a picture. Are you able to send me a picture through my FB page or IG? As for cool gel, if extreme isn't working, I wouldn't get cool gel. Extreme is more flexible which would be better. Celina Ryden has a great video on the Lexy line and viscosities. From rigid to flexible it goes: 1-step, cool gel, extreme, builder. If your nails are thin and weak, a more flexible gel is best. I'd try the clear builder. It's a very thick viscosity so you will be able to sculpt more than one nail at a time. Or....I'd suggest trying magic gel's ultra silk and bonder instead of the cool gel. Ultra silk is great for heavy lifters as it has an extra bonding agent in the builder to help combat those heavy lifters. Many techs have been as frustrated as you and switched to utlra silk for their heavy lifters and problem solved. For the price of this starter kit, it's worth trying so see what would work best for you. xo

@@AuraliteNails I just removed the gel so I could start over again. But your right I might be getting it too close to my cuticles. It's hard working on my own nails but I will pay extra attention to keep it off the cuticles. Working on my right hand is the hardest. Thank you so much for your help you are awesome

Yes I use extreme all the time. 😊 But ultra silk has given extreme a run for its money. Both very good products.
