Unlike so many who I've seen in the comment threads all day, I won't pretend to know how qualified or unqualified Magic is for the position. I do know that there's something about him that when he speaks, he instills confidence, makes me feel like everything will ultimately be alright. Of course, I have no data to back my claim, but I believe this will be good for Lakers Nation and that we're headed in the right direction. And Jeannie? She's a soldier.

I always loved Magic. My issue with him is that the stuff he said on twitter regarding moves other teams have made in the past made him look like a complete moron and thats where me and other Laker fans question his ability to seek talent. Its great to see that we're getting a new gm though!

magic is such a smart business man. the way he talks is very surface and borderline misleading, but that's how you make deals. you need to sell high to receive high. people tripping about his comments, wake up and read between the lines, he can't share his real, detailed thoughts on television. this is the inventor of the no look pass, he's brilliantly deceptive as great competitors are. mitch and jim used to sit up there like a couple of dunces or at the most say really dry, guarded comments that were already stated on bleacher report. magic is going to do work, book it.

Jenny Buss hiring Magic is a great move picking up Lebron James in 7/9/2018 Magic makes a few mistakes signing Warriors JaVale McGee who can't spread the floor for Lebron like Lopez who does it better who they don't sign. Lakers Magic has Jenny Buss trust which Magic in developing the young talent. Lebron may get Jenny ear that may change to fill in spots that maybe help the process to complete with the NBA Western Conference teams. At center Lopez spot taken that JaVale McGee can't fill on offence the way Lopez spreads the court for Lebron.
