Magic Kingdom Skyway | Fantasyland to Tomorrowland | March 1995

POV ride aboard the Walt Disney World Skyway (aka the Sky Buckets) from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland. Filmed during our family vacation to the Magic Kingdom on March 18th, 1995.
The Skyway was a Vonroll Type 101 detachable monocable gondola lift that operated in the Magic Kingdom from opening day (October 1st, 1971) until November 10th, 1999. There were similar rides at both Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland but they were both removed in the 90s as well. The Skyway offered unique angles of the lands it flew over.
In 2017, Disney announced the Skyliner which is an obvious spiritual successor to the Skyway. The cabins are closed and it is used as transportation to the parks instead of just a ride within the park.

Oh my, I remember riding this! I'm actually surprised it was still there in 1995! It seems like forever since I rode these sky buckets! 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!!!!! I miss that ride!
