I am happy that I found this video! It is really fascinating and the lecture was very interesting! May I have a couple of questions: 1. The video was published two years ago. Is there any new discovery, publications etc. regarding this mirror? 2. The mirror's front surface looks flat to me. Am I correct? Most magic mirrors are slightly convex. Can this flatness bear any extra information about the mirror's origin or use? 3. Japanese 'hidden Christians' during the Edo era used similar two-plate magic mirrors with a hidden image as a secret symbol of identity (but with a Christ on the cross, not Buddha image, of course). Wouldn't this fact support a hypothesis of Japanese origin?
