The problem is with these manufactured effects, When a Organization or company takes the effect from the creator and invest money into the instruction the video the packaging and the marketing it looks like a solid product most of the time but the inventor gets a small percentage of sales. If the inventor does all the video taping packaging manufacturing themselves and sells it to the company to distribute to the magic shops the inventor gets a higher percentage of sales. This Is what differentiates a good product overall and a mediocre one

Typically, if you sell the trick to a company - you get one check (whatever they buy it for) and you get zero money from sales
