Thanks! Something interesting that I noticed while editing is that the gas station signage showed that there were 4 washes available, including a top $8 wash. Yet the top spot on the pay station just displayed an error message of some sort.

Looks like a combination of a Laser Wash 4000 and a Mark VII car wash. I wish I could find one that has the oval track, not as common but really fun.

As rare as these systems are, Magic wand is known to make poor quality systems. Heck, I was just in one and it also did a horrible job. But there still fun to go to sometimes.

Magic Wand also made a friction system called a Magic Touch. Seen and filmed 2 of them at 2 Solar Car Wash locations in Berkeley and El Cerrito, CA. They feature bottom-driven rocker brushes (oddly) and a 2-basket mitter that retracts using its arm mount. If you find one, please film it, as few remain in operation.

The Magic Touch is interesting. Magic Wand only ever has documents of making a Magic Touch tunnel, never an auto named Magic Touch, but strangely enough, they (did) exist. One got turned into a freestyler, what happened to the other one?

On Google Maps, This System also Got Replaced! There are also New Dryers! I believe it’s a New D&S IQ Touch Free 2.0 just like the One that Creaky. C has Filmed!

I know that you were just guessing, but they could be getting ready to replace the systems. Why else would they let the systems run down like that, yet keep the rest of the place looking good? Maybe so that the place does not look run down to potential customers? I would not keep my hopes up, but if they are replacing the units, maybe they are replacing them with Laserwash G5s and you will finally get to film one of those. How far out of your way is it? Maybe you could go back within the next month and a half or so if you have time. To make sure that you did not go back there for nothing, you could come up with other things to do in Union, MO in case they either still have those Magic Wands or they replaced them with one of the other systems that you have already filmed, such as the PDQ Tandem. Maybe there is an interesting elevator in the area that you could film.
