Special: Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 OHD Car Wash - Soulard BP

In this special video, I offer a brief tour of the interior of my car (by request) as well as some footage of the drive out to Soulard--a really neat neighborhood in South St. Louis. The car wash turned out to be pretty interesting. It's a Ryko US2001 with a bunch of equipment in the bay and a vintage entry system. Think this bay may have housed a rare Ryko R7B in the past? UPDATE: This gas station and car wash were demolished, as the C-Store was expanded. When it reopened, the gas station didn’t have a wash for a while before adding one on later, in place of the building next to it.

Israel calderon The Gas station was demolished and rebuild around 2015. When it was rebuilt, They got rid of the car wash. There is no longer a car wash at this location.

Thanks for a look behind the scenes at your car camera set up. You should include some more dashcam driving videos with narration booth as standalone videos and integrated into car washes/other videos. Since they got a new car wash system, they really should replace the payment unit. It seems for anything, you have to enter a code, there was no way to reliably upgrade the wash (if paying cash).

There was an old SoftGloss system close to where I live that used that exact pay station. It’s since been replaced but it’s clearly not exclusive to the r7b.

Nice dashcam footage! You kinda showed the very outskirts of Soulard, which has some neat looking architecture, although not nearly as impressive as the innards of the neighborhood!

It's a Toyota.. I'm convinced you can put a bullet through the engine and it will still run. I had an 02 toyota Tacoma that was the year with the bad frame. And rust killed it before anything else did

Hey I noticed on your stereo there is a Bluetooth button. why don't you just use Bluetooth instead of using a line in?

The line-in allows me to charge my phone while I'm driving. Also, the interface with Bluetooth is slower and doesn't show album artwork. The USB connection is just a better experience.

Thanks! Just to clarify, that's an aftermarket head unit on the stereo. I put it in last year. Old one had a broken 6 CD changer and a cassette player. And yeah, a truck wash would be pretty cool. I've driven by one in Kingdom City, MO. Know anything about that place?

Wow... This there really must have been a Voyager or R7B here before... the bay just screams it. The US2001 OHD is not that too terribly old of a system, it was released in (Gee, who would have guessed?!) 2001, so that is another piece of evidence, lol. Also, this is an OHD model (Short for Overhead) Can you add that to the title?

I figured that was the case as soon as I saw that ancient-looking entry system. Not to mention how it looks like they just threw a bunch of semi-modern equipment in the bay. Looks like they did the upgrade as cheap as they could (seriously, I'm really surprised they didn't update that entry system). There's a good chance that they picked up this US 2001 secondhand fairly recently. I might have just missed an awesome vintage system here.

Not saying that they arn't cool. But R7Bs and old Voyager tend to be quite obnoxious. The gantry is normaly very loud when it moves back and forth and the brushes can be quite harsh on your viechle. We used to have an old voyager at a holiday stationstore near my hometown and they replaced it because of how loud and obnoxious it was. We also had to have our Yukon repainted after going through it a number of times. These ryko ultra sonics are way better and in my opinion my favorite touch free car wash system that exists right now. Since they clean fast and they are very efficient. Way better then the lazer wash in my opinion. My right now Go To Car Wash is one of these.

my camera is a HDR-CX190. your car is impressive. wow you drive a lot. that close to the Arch is convenient. Hadley MA has a more modern version of this. look at my channel. it said BUZZ. at the Hadley wash a belt pulls your car through the wash devices. carwash foam is colorful. those dryers are a hurricane.

It is absolutely not! Toyota's are built extremely well, they have the durability equivalent to Bedrock from Minecraft. It only has (at the time of this video) 96,000 km so its still very good. I could guarantee it would last at least to 300,000 km.
