The more you learn over a wide range of magic the more choice you have of what to put into your new act

Excellent advise, thank you. I am about to make my own table and have been playing with various designs and think I'll modify it yet again before I start cutting the wood to guarantee no wobble. I suppose no wobble overrides light-weight or at least a fair trade off.

great advice, especially the beginning bit. You told a magician the same about the audience being concerned when he opened for you years ago, and he passed it onto me when he saw me perform.

It can be solid, no wobble, and still be quite light.

Can you give some good suggestions or references on learning a solid chop cup routine? BTW love your work
@thepauldaniels10 жыл бұрын
Do you mean a solid routine or a solid cup? To develop your own routine read every book you can find on it and absorb the bits you like best.

OK thank you Paul and one more question what size ball do you use for your chop cup cause I liked the style of that cup
@thepauldaniels10 жыл бұрын
Raymond Summerville The cup I use fits my hands and is the original Ken Brooke design which is still sold by Stevens Magic. The ball? I went to a Hobby shop and bought several sizes and then had them crocheted when I found the one that fitted my hands. You have to kiss all the frogs to find the prince.

I love your work can you give me some tips with stage tricks?
@thepauldaniels10 жыл бұрын
Yup... only do the tricks that you LOVE to do and enjoy your performance. Then call in a professional stage director who is nothing to do with magic. He/she will be honest.

Make sure you get the real thing and not an Asian cheapo copy. Then it's down to the amount of time and thinking you put into your presentation... but that really applies to every effect you buy.
