Honestly I agree it kinda ruins the game. If you buy a booster box for $200 and you make $200 worth of cards from it then they reprint a lot of those cards in the next set then all the cards you got $200 worth of drops to say $140 you are actively losing money and Hasbro making money. It's kind of a con and it's sad a lot of people just see it as "more affordable" if you're a singles only person I understand it's good for you but a lot of people love the "gamble" and excitement of opening a pack and "hitting it big" that's less exciting when you know it's gonna be reprinted and the value drop

At the same time if you get 200$ worth of cards, Hasbro still made 200. Minus whatever printing, shipping, and the people working on art/how the cards work. Regardless of if you can resell the cards, they make the money either way. It's just cardboard at the end of the day

Reprints aren’t killing the game, selling boxes much higher than they’re worth and forcing LGS’s to hold the bag while simultaneously treating their own story and lore like shitty fan fiction is hurting the game more 😊
