Different- except all the corners are matched up the same in the beginning ;) (still a cool trick)

This is how is done: You take two cubes (A&B) and scramble them equally with the exception that Cube B has some extra scramble steps that you memorize. Also make sure both cubes are marked so you can feel what cube you are holding and its position. The helper scrambles both cubes equally so it does matter how much the helper scrambles the cubes because the difference between Cube A and B are those steps that you memorized.

Pablo Gonzalez actually, it's a sequence of movements that turn every edge piece around, so you don't have to memorize anythinh

Wow! That's so smart, making the person think they are scrambling the cube, but it doesn't really matter how the scramble it

Very nice ! I had some thoughts which where kind of going in the right direction, but in the end I had to look it up XD

Spoiler Alert the cubes are set up in a specific way: you scramble them both so they look alike then yo do a certain moves on one of the cubes leaving the other one alone. then when you perform the trick you just pretty much undo those moves. and since the scrambling of the other person is done to both cubes it it doesn't do anything, just a decoy pretty much

Hey! This is actually so cool and still very simple (never thought of using super-flip that way), thanks a lot for that :)

easy. superflip make a cube and then doing the same moves, so when you teach the cubes are not equal, then you ask the mix making the same movements but considering that the centers are the same color, then you get the cube on the back and you realize the nature and superflip be like the other two completely equal cubes.

The faces were the same before they were "scrambled" as well, lol

Sure, the cubes are differently scrambled, but I'm willing to bet they begin with only a set of moves separating them. So, no matter which moves are done to both cubes, the reverse will bring them into alignment. Right? I don't know anything about Rubik's cubes, but the fact that the cubes could probably be pre-configured in this way removes the "magic" for me.
@Klaracubes9 жыл бұрын
+ilmalocchio The point is that in general, moves don’t commute on a Rubik’s cube, i.e. if A and B are sequences of moves, AB would differ from BA. So if you start out with two scrambled cubes that differ by a sequence S, let’s say they have been scrambled by sequences P and PS respectively, and the other person performs an arbitrary sequence Q on both cubes, the cubes are now scrambled by PQ and PSQ respectively. Now, performing the inverse sequence S’ on the first cube would give you PQS’ which would generally not be the same as PSQ, and performing S’ on the second cube would give you PSQS’ which would generally not be the same as PSS´Q=PQ due to lack of commutativity. So you'll need a little «mathemagic» for the sequence S to work. ;)

I know I am late to the party, but my guess is you did it using the superflip :)
@mr.death1548 жыл бұрын
once thats done do the same turn on the top corner and do the superflip
@mr.death1548 жыл бұрын
and then just do the super flip witch is basicly moving the middle part of the cube up NOT moving the sides of the cube and then just move the upper part of the cube to the left

i know how to do it. You have to pre scramble one of the cubes using a move called the superflip
