I wouldn't say the Rubik's cube was complex. The first trick where he solves the cube isn't complex at all, any speed cuber could perform it. The second trick also wasn't complex, he simply hid the solved sides at the back, and was lucky enough to perform the trick without anyone noticing. The last trick was the easiest one, since he just had to memorize where the piece was, and there are a lot of tricks he could use to make memorization easier, like hiding the cards in specific patterns he could easier memorize or something like that.

Rubik’s Cube tricks can be heavily based on memorization of moves, as that algorithm but tried to illustrate, which to me is super impressive. Add to that the sleight of hand and it really elevates the tricks here. My husband collects all kinds of similar puzzles in different sizes and shapes and amount of faces. He taught me only as far as the first few basic steps before I lost all patience with not only my worthless hands, but how much I had to concentrate. I’m happy to watch these tricks, I have no ability to do anything near the level of speed, dexterity, precision, stage presence, and expertise!
