Soulbound is probably one of my new favourites. Such a strong mechanic. Cycling is soooo damn good, miss it alot! Fingers crossed for m13 or return to ravnica to bring it back. I dont think anyone dislikes scry. Kicker and flashback is fun nostalgia and pretty neat.

cascade was a fun interesting mechanic, it can be completely devastating or you hit nothing, it was all on randomness. I suppose you can hate it because of that randomness, but on most part all of the cards weren't too overpowering so the cascade allowed for an interesting twist on the card, the only problem was the ones that were strong on their own and ended up being too powerful with the cascade add on, obviously bloodbraid elf. Aside from her the cascade was a fun "build a deck around me"

Martel... I was 99% sure that when LSV left I wouldn't be able to enjoy The Magic Show because I watched mostly because of his humor. While the show clearly doesn't have the same dynamic you've done an amazing job just slipping in and filling luis' shoes

Yeah if you have Flashback on the list, you have to have it's better version, which was Buyback. In fact, I'd even say it's possibly the best mechanic.

Flying is a keyword, and for new sets WOTC describes keywords (like hexproof in M12) under their list of Mechanics when spoiling a new set. So Tom is right :P

Retrace is cool but the fact that they had to make all of the cards so bad and that they couldn't print very many retrace spells has to factor in. I really like both retrace and dredge but the issues that those mechanics have in power level prevents them from really being able to put the mechanic on good cards. Really neither of these mechanics should be on the list. Although I enjoyed landfall I don't think it deserves a top spot either. Many of the mechanics in my top 10 help on both sides (mana screw or mana flood) for example cycling to dig for lands or spells depending on what you need. Scry will help you dig for lands or put lands on the bottom, flashback, kicker, evoke and that type of mechanic allow you to play it for cheap if you are not getting the lands or get full value once you have all the mana. Here is what my top 8 would be (although this is just off the top of my head it will probably be something close to this list). 1. Equip (if you count it as a "mechanic" and I think technically it is) 2. Flying (due to it's importance and flavor) 3. Flashback 4. Kicker 5. Persist/Undying 6. Cycling 7. Suspend 8. Storm 9. Scry (if you don't count equp)

I know he probably has it attached to his collar, he probably has to button it all the way up, or something, or else the distance between the mic and him is still uncompromising. Horsemanship means unblockable in all metas. The problem is that the creature cards that have horsemanship are terrible and terribly costed. 1U for a 1/2 horsemanship guy sucks. Now if they costed more aggressively... like WW 2/2 Horsemanship.
