I imagine that Marx’s powers is that he chooses to split in half and transforms his body at will. The most prominent attacks that I can think of are the paint attack and the energy ball attack. The first further divides his body and turns himself into balls of pink and blue paint while the other turns his halves into giant spheres of energy. The big reason why he splits while he dies is likely because he became unstable. I mean, he was basically dead, but absorbed Nova’s body and integrated its power into himself. I guess Marc Soul is kind of undead.

Eh,more likely his power is to split in half,and it can happen unconsciously,while still being able to choose to split,so when he gets defeated he splits in half likely in an attempt to survive or stop any possible future wounds aince marx was able to live after splitting,so his body probably judt split to stop any possible lethal wounds.
