With all due respect (as I do love your videos)....not all areas are the same with regards to Garage sale availability. You live in an area of Ontario where you have access to 2 million + people within a 1 hour drive ( safe to say ?). Whereas I live in Newfoundland, where we have 550,000 on the entire island (which by the way, takes 10 hours to drive across the island)..... so No, everyone doesn't have the same opportunities when it comes to garage sale opportunities. Nice finds...keep up the good work.

@@FrankoNL Frank.....my point is simple. In his video, seejare said everyone has the same opportunities with regards to garage sales, and that simply is NOT true .

My area has 100,000 people and you see just a few sales each week with games. Most of them are Wii and newer. You never see NES or SNES.

All of the above, and just drive around your town. Personally I've found that most of the things posted on Facebook are gone when you get there or someone already messaged them to hold it for them. I've literally been to garage sales within 15 to 20 minutes of them posting ads and the items they pictured were already sold. I've personally found the best stuff when I'm not really trying and just go to random sales. I live in a city with around 350,000 people and I find that when I leave the city and go to small towns with around 2,000 to 20,000 people in it.... that's where I can find really good stuff for cheap and there doesn't seem to be as many resellers.

Asking if they have video game stuff doesn't take skill lol all it is, is just consistency, time and not getting discouraged when most the time your not gonna find what you want only When they bring out stuff you're looking for or at the spot before any competition that's being Lucky just my opinion not being negative as I like when you get lucky on rare pickups lol

Next time you go to a Tim Horton's, get a coffee with a large dose of humility. Buddy, it's all about luck when it comes to what you find at yard sales. Some weekends are great, some, not so much. There are some people, perhaps like you, that see video games in a garage sale ad, and will go very early (sometimes even bothering those setting up their sale). I like to go to yard sales and socialize with people, drink my coffee and relax. I've purchased video games/systems after 10 o'clock some days. But to think you have some sort of gift...do you listen to yourself?

Love your videos but to say there's no difference between where you live and where other people live is insane. People watch your videos from all over, some in towns with a few thousand people that see maybe 20 yard sales a year and don't have the option to drive 2 or 3 hours to a larger area where there may be more sales. So yes, you guys are very good at what you do but please acknowledge rhat the privilege of the amount of sales in your area has a ton to do with it.

I disagree with you in one aspect. Based on your footage from this year, you seem to go to a lot of sales that just have Wii and DS games laying out. Obviously that stuff isn’t as good as older Nintendo stuff, but it’s something. Just an hour away from you, I can get up super early, go to 40+ sales, do everything the same as you, and I might find 2-3 sales that have anything gaming related, and the prices aren’t usually as low as what you’re getting things for, even after I make offers. Maybe I’m just unlucky, but there just seems to be something about the Kitchener area.
@NeoDragonKnight2 жыл бұрын
I agree, I am further East. I would say my skill level is extremely high, I wake up early, hit many sales, and am really good at out maneuvering my competition. There are days I know I am the first to hit almost every single sale most of the day and clear out all that is available. I have had epic scores on his level but on an average I may get close to the volume, but I do not get as good as stuff and not nearly as good a price (like this year so far I have found piles of Wiis but very little retro stuff). My area and surrounding area typically asks for a lot for their gaming stuff because they really try to get the most and are very tech savy and aware, there is also less density in sales compared to other areas because they know how to sell on fb and kijiji, the demographic is just different. I had gone out to way further locations while on vacation and I had much better quality finds and way cheaper, location 100% matters. I would actually modify Seejayare's % to be 80% skill, 10% location and 10% luck. I know the obvious response is goto a better location but driving past an hour is not feasible.
