Magical Malkauns | Kumar Gandharva | Ajay Pohankar | Music Today

Raga Malkauns is one of the most beautiful, popular and most ancient of the raagas in Hindustani Classical music. It is usually sung or played at late night. Though a simple pentanoic raga in structure, it requires great skills to convey and evoke the mood of Malkauns. The two stalwarts Kumar Gandharva and Pandit Ajay Pohankar have rendered this raga in their own signature styles through their two individual performances.
