@10:00 about keeping Talents, it would be a great move if they had Ty-phon in the extra. Talents spin back Magna, Starfire summon Caspar/Doc where Chamber is set (depends on what musket s/t are still in the deck but ideally Caspar since it has 100 less ATK than Starfire) then make Ty-phon with Starfire to run over Sancti and bounce MJ (safely since no Aluber in GY) with Nib dead in hand into a top deck war. I wonder if anyone plays "Wailing of the Unchained" (the continuous Spell) together with Anguish in their builds. The advantage this has over the traps is that it's a free trigger for your Muskets and it can also take away 3 bodies from the board as soon as you summon Abomination with Anguish (1 from Anguish, 1 from Wailing, 1 from Abo triggered by Wailing) or 2 if you link down into Rage. When Fiendsmiths got announced I tested a bigger unchained package here since they have amazing synergy with Vrains, essentially giving you Fiendsmith back in hand (vrains gy secret effect) to cheat out a Desirae while Yama revives a Musket to keep your S/T live even if you wombo combo.

@@marcusj1070 they banish from their own gy since Sharvara is fire, Starfire summons Caspar from deck, Magna isn't used on Engraver so they get an additional body to work with, and the opponent with no card in hand will be OTKed. Even if they can't OTK, Caspar can get Doc and Yama can revive it so that the S/T negate (counter trap) is recycled while there will also be a triple DD crow and a monster negate against the top deck + Typhon making MJ useless

Same, a fun card to run with musketeers is toon table of contents to trigger musketeer effects but also reduced cards in deck and help increase consistency with draws.

Puppet isn't cool going second. The fact that you need to lock snake-eye out of special summoning to not die on turn 3 is just a testament to how broken that deck's followup is. Ban puppet and hit snake eyes.

I hope puppet or santifyier gets hit. if either of them go branded becomes a tier 2 or 3 deck. the reason why none of the other options work is because the opponent can just droplet them away to negate mirror jade and the other body on field to continue playing. Puppet is the only card that locks on summon like that. the interruptions branded has isn't that hard to play around also it makes ash actually a good hand trap against them again. most of the time if branded fusion gets ash'd they try their hardest to set up puppet lock on the opponents turn. like their entire meta relevance at this point is. Can they puppet lock? you lose. if they can't you can will likely still win if playing the best decks.

You can layer branded interaction pretty easily, you just don't do that as well when you're trying to puppet lock them, which beats all of the breakers. You can try to banishment or double masq people but that's harder to set up through hand traps, and you're also going to get evenly'd/droplet/drnm for your life. Where now you can often put them on have called by or lose, and the fusion dupe lines can even play through that due to lost.

I don’t want to hear any talk about Puppet or Sanctifier going anywhere when we’re still dealing with these 6+ interruption endboards from Snake-Eye/Fiendsmith variants. Setting up an endboard where the opponent simply cannot play because their opening six isn’t enough to push through every single interruption optimally, ESPECIALLY when the decks then create their own follow-up (for example, getting rid of Flamberge just brings back Ash, Oak, and Poplar for the following turn) is no different than the opponent just not being allowed to play at all because they got summon locked. Actually fix the tier 1 decks before you want to come for tier 2 (and that’s being GENEROUS) strategies.

@@Akanezulian1 “A chance to interact” Yeah, you enjoy the illusion of playing the game. You aren’t actually. You do something? Interrupted. You try to play through it? Interrupted. This continues until you concede because you’re out of resources and they aren’t because they went first and you didn’t. It’s your first turn and you THINK you’ve been making plays, but then you look at your board and realize you haven’t actually DONE anything. But hey, at least you had “a chance.”
