Magical Winter Ride | Snowy South Downs on a Sunny Day

We don't often get snow is Sussex so had take this opportunity to get up into the South Downs for this magical winter mountain bike ride.

Snowed in Bognor Regis for about an hour 2 weeks ago, nothing since just bitterly cold. The Downs always look good in the snow.

Very brave of you. I would have fallen off in that ice at least once, esp the climb on the SDW up to ditching beacon - frozen chalk 🙁

Well done and nice snowy scenery indeed. Did you tried two pairs of socks and Goretex winter bike shoes that protects the ankles? They really improved my winter rides. So did wearing a pair of merino underlayer gloves. And a balaclava to keep my head warm. All these "little" things ends up making your cold winter rides so much more enjoyable. Anyway, keep on posting 😊

​@@themuddycyclist yes that's also an option however my experience with them is that they are a pain to put on and wear off quickly when riding offroad with mtb/gravelbike
