What I Would Have Packed for Disneyland If My Trip Wasn't Cancelled

Today, I was supposed to be on a plane heading out for my Disneyland vacation. Back in December, my friend Sarah and I had booked a Disneyland trip for June 10-14, which I had been saving up for a year for and was so excited about! But as we all know, Disneyland has been closed since mid-March and there still is not any word on when Disneyland will be reopening. It's definitely a bummer to have my Disney trip cancelled, but I still thought it would be fun to share everything that I was planning on packing and bringing with me! I wanted to share my whole planned Parks bag set up (including an awesome pin display Ita bag!), the Minnie Mouse ears I was going to bring, and some of the shirts I was planning to wear.

I'm a Cast Member at Disneyland and even our return dates are up in the air. Today they announced that the parks would be reopening mid-July, but so far most CMs haven't gotten any notification or information on when we would be returning to work or how things would look going forward. I can't wait to go back to work. I hope everyone is able to reschedule their trips in one way or another!

Hi Emily! Thanks for sharing this video of what you would've packed for your trip. I agree that it is fun to watch what people would bring as you pick up ideas for what to do for yourself. I would have approached packing for a Disney trip the same way, and I absolutely love having a zip hoodie rather than a pull over hoodie as it is easier to take on and take off without messing up your hair or having to take off a hat/ears. 😄

Wow this video made me really emotional! I didn’t realize how much I missed Disneyland until I watched. I’m a local so it’s easier for me to go but man it’s been like a big hole missing from my heart with it closed. I think I’ll be there right when it reopens and just keep a huge distance from everyone else. Packing is the best part of a Disney trip so I love these videos! 💕❤️

My trip to WDW was also canceled due to the pandemic. I was supposed to be flying into Orlando the day they announced the parks would be closing back in March! Unfortunately since I purchased my ticket through the military salutes (third party) I am unable to get a refund on my 4-day park hopper ticket. So I WILL be using this ticket ASAP when the parks do reopen! I also have the Krakentrade clamshell & was SUPER excited to wear it to the parks! I actually have a second foam disc to put my traders on & I store it in the second smaller pouch!

For Girl Scout cookie incentives this year our council offered a 1 day Disneyland trip. It included the Youth Education Program with a special Disneyland Girl Scout Patch. My daughter and so many others worked so hard and we would have been there the 28th of May. I had outfits already and was going to make ears.

We had a big trip planned and saved for this year, and it's sad to know that can't happen anymore. Our original trip was scheduled for May, which got cancelled. We rescheduled for August, but we just ended up cancelling that trip too. With the pandemic going on and cancellations of dining, fireworks, etc. we just didn’t know if it would be worth all the money we would be spending. Hopefully, we will be able to go in the next few years!

I was supposed to be in WDW June 1st-7th and we cancelled all together. Like you said it won’t be as fun and magical if you have to worry the whole time and not everything is open. Plus this being my first time there I’d want to experience everything! We’re playing it by year and will probably go next summer if things go back to “normal.”

We had plans to go to DLP in March. I had made all my ears and chosen matching Outfits and then 3 Days before we we're due everything closed down ^^' I had to put my unworn ears in storeage because I couldn't bear looking at them for a while without getting sad ^^'

If WDW was still taking reservations I’d book a trip for later on in the summer/fall just to be back “home”. I understand the concern that some people may have with flying/traveling to Disney and want to wait until next year. I fully respect their choice.

I was so lucky with my WDW trip this year, I got back to Ireland 2 weeks before they closed the parks. I then had to get home to Australia at the end of March or be stuck in Europe :S

So sorry your trip was cancelled! I have that park snacks backpack and I used it as a school bag, the straps and water bottle holders have started to fall apart a bit. It's only minor damage, so I still think it was worth it!

I understand your pain and sadness. So I had my first trip to Disney world planned for last May which was cancelled. We rebooked with the special free dining offer for August. Then after they announced all the restrictions and the Canadian border still not open we cancelled our trip again. We haven’t rebooked yet as we want to make sure we can actually go without as many restrictions. We’re looking at either january, February or next May.

I was supposed to be flying internationally to LA and Anaheim but have cancelled everything because of the closures. As of right now, even though the parks have announced reopening dates, I can still not fly internationally. So I will be waiting firstly for flights to reopen and then I will just watch lots of KZbin and see what the reality of going to the parks is like. I don't want to spend a lot of money to fly to the US and get Disney tickets only to find that a lot of things are not open. I love planning and being organised. I was so looking forward to packing my bags and planning my outfits! But I will just have to wait....

I’ve rescheduled several times and now we have Aug 1st WDW resort plans, waiting to find out everything else, supposedly we are first to reservations for the parks due to having tickets already but we’ve heard nothing more about it. Nervous because this is our last shot to go if this doesn’t work for some reason we have to cancel. Makes being excited for a trip tough when you don’t know what’s going on.
