Ryan: Do you want to see my deck? Me: That's why I'm here

Thanks for adding some gameplay of the deck in the video, im not huge into deck-teching when i cant then see it in action so, thanks again

Well the point of this series was to inspire more creative builds and get people thinking about their own collections. I didn't intend for it to turn into "just another gameplay series" because there are a million of those out there. But if this episode performs better than its siblings, I'll consider changing up the format a bit. Thanks for watching!

Hmm, I forgot about Samut from that pack. A bit before Aftermath came out, I had a deck I called "get rich quick" that was focused on Haste, treasures and combat tricks. Seems like I could give it a few upgrades by now. As for the cards you used, that looked a bit clunky but a cool idea! Campus Renovation makes me want to build a control deck around it. Maybe something with The Princess Takes Flight from WOE where I keep sacrificing it to other effects and then bringing it back to exile more cards. Or some Cases that sacrifice themselves, though they might be too much of a buildaround.

Your "Get rich quick" deck sounds like fun.

When the first Dominaria came out I loved that Karn. I had a UW artifact tech that I called The Dig Crew.

May I recommend a singleton copy each of Chimil, The Inner Sun and Portal to Phyrexia for value and control

Excellent additions (provided they're within your budget) and they turn this into more of a toolbox list, with Reckless Handling able to go find whichever piece you need. I like it!

Gameplay of the cool deck! Thank you for finally including that in one of these "Question" videos!

Glad you liked it. If this does well, I'll probably do it more often going forward. Thanks for watching!

I really miss your LORE and "History of" videos, but getting some gameplay instead of just theory and explanations of your awesome deck ideas has really revitalized my interest in your channel.

I would suggest slagstone refinery it makes mana when artifacts dies

I'll experiment with that. Thanks for the idea!

I wasn't too impressed with the MOM Aftermath set. However after seeing this video I kinda want to build a red and white commander deck around artifacts. Thanks Ryan. 😂

Go for it! And then let me know how it turns out!

@MagicArcanum Will do. Once I figure out the commander I will use.

Some thoughts on MAT Drannath Ruins I always felt had a little potential as an addition to a lot of different decks, including all the green +1 Counter Matter decks that we saw evolve, but I never really had a chance to play around with the card. I think paying 3 to make your 2 drops into sizable threats would have been a way to do things. Samut, Vizer of Naktuman has to be the card I played the most in the set. Her ability to refill hands in Haste Themed decks is invaluable. She is just not only for commander. I've kinda wanted to build around Build Around the City, and use the Restless land cycles to make the card do things, but I just haven't had the bandwidth just yet. I do wonder what the best Diefication Target should be. In anycase, thanks for showing something cool.

While I’m not sure what the best target in standard is, but naming Gideon in pioneer/explorer with Gideon of the Trials is super nice

Oh you sleuth! I'm always so focused on trying to integrate NEW cards that I forget there is LIFE in the older (but still mildly relevant, ha) sets

That was fun! Stupid question- I recently downloaded the tcg player app to possibly sell some cards, and it looks like you can use it to organize your collection, as well. How is the tcg home app different/better for that purpose?
@MagicArcanum9 ай бұрын
The TCG Home app is browser-based, so you can use it on your phone or desktop, and will eventually include features like a deck builder, and even "smart suggestions" that help you turn your card collection into decks based on what you already own. The TCG Home app also has customizable tags, which let you group cards in different ways, and can show you detailed information about each card, including its rules text (commonly called the "oracle text). As far as I know, the TCGplayer app uses a phone's camera to scan your cards (or you can enter them manually) but then that list only lives on your device. You can export it via email, I think, if you want to upload or share it elsewhere, but I always found that cumbersome. I also don't think they have any plans to add a deck builder or anything to help you use your cards as game pieces; the TCGplayer app is more focused on the financial value of your cards, and the ability to buy/sell right from your phone (which is still useful, don't get me wrong! But TCG Home seems to offer more utility overall, and the fact that I can use it on my phone and desktop with one universal login means I always have my full card collection with me, which is helpful)

I think, for some ccg that have mini-sets, do not try as much aftermath did. It was actually a great set. It had build around standard cards and pretty good commanders. The fact people whine that much about commons they throw away anyways, makes it even stronger they don't know what they want or talk about.
