@realjoeydemaio was one of the two people that inspired me to pick up bass 20 years ago when I was 14. First I went through the stage of thinking "this is the greatest bass playing in the world", then through a "well this ain't no bass playing, more like a guitar, boo" stage. The older and more experienced I got the more I realized that it's not what bass is or isn't, it's how well the playing serves the music and the sound, and fuck me silly if his playing isn't doing the absolute best for the music that Manowar did and does. Here's to seeing Joey and Eric rip it live many many more times!

There is nothing like playing Manowar loud as hell…. Instantly puts me in victorious mood!!! The most unifying band ever! I was in my truck playing Manowar and some random dude standing at the bus stop on the corner heard it and instantly locked his hand around his wrist in the air.
