The increased status effect chance on your wall of elements from your destro staff passives is only active while you have the destro staff equipped. However, with a charged dagger (182% increased status effect chance), the cp node (40%), and the arcanist passive (75%), you should still have about a 3-4% chance per tick of the maelstrom wall to proc burning. The flame enchant will have like a 60% chance though which really bumps those uptimes.

I’m pretty sure that the passive applies directly to skills cast on that bar. I don’t think you lose that bonus for skills like wall for example when swapping to the front bar. Admittedly not 100% sure though! Lots of good additional info here though that I’ll include in the next update :)

I run a High Elf Deadly Strike, Perfected Ansuul's Torment, one light Slimecraw & Velothi for the mythic. I did change my blue CP because i had the set wrong. Much beter play & dps output. Great video & thank you. MagCan with dual lightning staves.

Roto won’t change with gear sets! All rotations were done in deadly whorl.

You’d be best off running some light as needed

If you switch your medium slime to a light valkyn or archdruid you will be at 9800 pen on this build. Plenty for 4 man assuming you have major and minor breach

I'm a bit confused about the optimal gear setup. Should I run 5 pieces of Deadly Strike, 4 pieces of Whorl of The Depths, The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet, 2 pieces of Stormfist and a Crushing Wall staff? I would prefer to not abandon the amulet as it seems fun and I suffered a lot with getting the lead from the Scrivener's Hall.

I'd suggest dropping the monster! Monster sets don't do too well on the Arc.

Sooo in depth! GGs as usual! … Although i would slightly disagree about azure “doing zero damage in single target fights”. Since it will still proc and do some dmg. About 6% less than meta sets like deadly or pillar on my plar testing, but still better than not having a 5pc bonus at all like plaguebreak (rip) or sulxan. I used to love azure when i first started hm trials as i think it gets alot more value in beginner groups where group cleave dps is alot lower than high end groups. (50-200% more cleave dps depending on comp and content). Azure helps to bridge that gap. But vice versa, it seems much less valuable in higher end groups since u dont need extra cleave dps other than the 2 or 3 specific boss fights u mentioned. :) just my 2 cents.

Armor used to correlate to resources, so Medium used to be good for Stam and Light used to be good for mag. Since the hybridization updates, non of this matters anymore, and stacking medium armor gives a slightly stronger dps increase than stacking medium armor, assuming all raid penetration debuffs are present and adequate!

A question about armor, is there a reason to go 6/1 vs 5/1/1 for the undaunted passive? Is the 6/1 medium/light just better than the stat boost with a heavy piece?

Yeah the overall stat bonuses light and medium armor give since they changed those a year and a half ish ago have made the 5-1-1 unpreferable for dps over 6-1 or 7 medium. We’re only running 1 light cause the set choices require that

Even as a fellow dark elf. Once I put the enchants/gear/attributes you show I have less stamina than you show in the clips where you are fighting with this build. How are you getting enough stamina to be able to keep up those two cast of Cephaliarch Flair?

It def makes a big difference. Medium armor does a bit more damage then light and you wouldn’t have deadly active both bars. I’m sure you can make it work for now but I’d keep working towards those daggers!

It won't have the perfected bonus IIRC but this way I can transmute the perfected golden rings instead of spending a fortune turning non-perfected ones gold haha (Of course losing crit means less damage but I'm guessing it's not as much a dps loss as not having deadly strike active at all times)

It’s more preferable to stack medium armor for damage. The passives are a bit stronger. Any more than one light piece begins a marginal loss in dps output.

Yeah so “Magicka” vs “Stamina” is kind of arbitrary in the world of min maxing, it doesn’t really matter outside of sustain. You’ll always go all into one or all into the other based on skills, but medium armor is always better (outside of some solo/four man content). Depths pillar is a solid setup, but deadly depths is just better! Feel free to ask any clarifying questions in the mag vs Stam thing :)

Light Attacks don’t really matter on the arc, and daggers just give the best bonuses by far. If you’d like to run a staff just to run one, Lightning front bar is very strong

You'll lose a good bit of damage on Argonian. I would suggest keeping Whorl on the Weapons but it's not the end of the world if It's on the body.

With all so respect, adjusting your build so that it’s easier to play in content is completely fine, but unnecessary. Any issue you have with Stam and mechanics can be solved with reps and progression. This build is doing fine in content :)

Great Job on such a new class. The only thing you failed to mention is that you will need X amount of skill points before you can even do this setup. As a new class, it's unlikely most of them running around have the required points to set up all the passives and other skills. Having a known amount of skill points to aim for before gearing and skilling up for this build would be really nice. I have to wonder how you had 119 skill points spare after your build was set up though. Did you buy the unlocks from the store or spend a few weeks doing sky shards?

If we never run out of magical and 3/5 spells in rotation use Stam why are you using magicka enchants. I seem to be running out of stam around 3rd 4th rotation. What’s the benefit of the magicka boost over stam?

This is just the “mag” spec. The only thing that dictates that is where you spec your attributes. Damage scales off a few stats, your max resources being one of them, so it’s worthwhile to stack everything into one resource. Are you running Tri/Heroism pots? You shouldn’t have Stam issues unless there are some mistakes in the roto or if you happen to forget that important detail!

I was trying to dabble with the magic build since my arc is an altmer for a little more dps but, if all else fails if i cant get it to work i'll just have to stick with stam. I gave some beginner options! Order's Wrath is a craftable that I suggested running until you can get trial gear, and deadly is pretty easy to obtain from guild traders or cyrdoill boxes :)

​@@BlackBlazeGamingprebuff yes, but dropping Flawless and having ultimate back immediately doesn't happen in content when starting a boss fight. Most guilds I've seen don't accept DB prebuff for that reason. That's the part about dummy parsing I will never understand because it can't happen realistically. But I guess in content you still get more buffs in a super optimized group like the ones Puppies runs so I guess it evens out. I just hope we never get DPS in content tracker for console 😅🫣🤣

Whorl has a high mastery curve in some content for sure. It’s strong in content, but you have to think about and control the procs in some scenarios to get max utilization.

If your group provides enough synergies and penetration. That's not a solo or unorganized group setup.

Well when you use arcanist skills they will take mag instead of stam since it would be the dominant resource
