Definitely inspired, thank you. The price of purchased machines and hydraulic presses make CEB an utter joke for the poor okes who want to save money in the first place. There is hope! I am thinking a small slide zone and longer lever (class 2 at its finest) should get an extra tight brick.

Thanks for a really inspiring video. What is the name of the ram press at 1:24? I've seen videos of other using it, but misunderstood the word you said so I couldn't find the plans online. How is the name of the press called?

If your bricks were interlocking, no mortar would be needed. Why remove lumps, then add gravel (lumps) back? How do.you know the correct ratio of sand/clay?
@magicmarmelade4 жыл бұрын
Something that i didn't mention in the video, my finished wall is rather complex: internal air shaft to send warm air in the bathroom, ventilation pipes running inside, chimney from wooden stove crossing with 45% angle... sometimes a lot of mortar is needed. About lumps, too many bigger stones in the soil. I have made plenty tests for the right mix sand/clay til i came with the right mix (and also a little house for practicing)

@magicmarmelade4 жыл бұрын

Did the bricks get fired in a kiln too?
@magicmarmelade5 жыл бұрын
the bricks i made for the wall between kitchen and bathroom as shown are not ment to be cooked (they are hard enough, and they have too much stones/gravel to cook without cracking) but i plan to make some smaller bricks for the flooring... but first i have to built the kiln! working on the idea... take care

@@magicmarmelade here's a video I just finished watching that may help with your design. His kiln is made with mud bricks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/emacp2pqoJqZorc

@@magicmarmelade Fired bricks are harder. Why would you want harder for the floor? I was taught 40 years ago that softer is better, easier to walk/stand on.
