Wonderful viewpoint. Most photographers say they just want to document reality. What Thorsten is advocating is that photographers have the power to make the world a better place.

Wonderful inspirational video! As I’ve lost 3 people in my life recently from smoking related lung cancer , consider giving it up before it’s too late

Or maybe switching to IQOS e cig first? Before totally giving up
@ronaldsand30003 жыл бұрын
@@ericchungmarketing interestingly, every person I have known that were told by their doctor they have cancer have had no trouble giving up even though more often it was already too late It’s a shame that the same people were unable to be either motivated to find the will power to give up before then

This short film always makes me happy about photography and why I should continue to pursue this artistic medium. I'm saving for the Q2 Monochrom because I absolutely love B&W.

Q2 Monochrom is a good one. Very easy to get great bw photos from it. Surprisingly straight-forward.

A delightful short film that inspires photographic creativity! I recently upgraded from my trusty iPhone 8 to the Fuji X100V and it feels like I’ve embarked on a wonderful journey. Thank you. PS: I stopped smoking 33 years ago and haven’t given it a second thought since then. For some strange reason, this video makes me think about having a drag again. I suppose it’s the “cool” factor and the memories of that nicotine hit. Fortunately, I won’t be smoking again but I sincerely hope for your sake that you might consider packing it in. I know there’s nothing quite as tiresome as a reformed smoker but I would love for you to always carry a camera for many more years! Thanks again for an excellent short film. Less TV … more snaps and the world will be a more beautiful place!

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, it is addictive, and this documentary and too many "cool" photos of me smoking made by workshop students made me decide to avoid showing cigarets in video/stills :-) So far so good.

Is it bad to say I've watched this lots of times over the last few years ha ha! I even like the music, so nicely put together. I remember reading a comment previously that someone's child had watched it so many times they could both remember the words to it. I feel like I'm getting there now🙄 thanks 👍🏻

Thank you so much for all that you do, you’re a true teacher and a great asset to the photography community. I hope I can someday take one of your workshops here in the U.S. (although Paris would be nice too! ☺).Thanks again Thorsten.

Since the Q2 monochrome came out I have been hoping Leica will take the sensor used in the Q2M and put it in a SL-2 body so we can pick our lens from the ones we already own in our camera bag. Sure the Q2m is convenient, but essentially its a fixed lens point and shoot camera. I want the SL-2 experience in a monochrome body.
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard3 жыл бұрын
Maybe hey will make a SLM, people seem to keep asking for it.

There's an adage that the one who doesn't smoke or drink dies in very good health... :) No one can predict what's good or not for any given individual. Thorsten can be a chain smoker and chain coffee drinker and live to be 120 and someone without those afflictions and who leads a healthy lifestyle can croak from a heart attack or a stroke. It's all relative.
@marcmichelmann64113 жыл бұрын
Why do you use an evf with your m?
@MagicOfLight_ThorstenOvergaard3 жыл бұрын
I sometimes do. The Leica M240 I used EVF quite a lot (the camera used int he video). On the M10 and M10-P I use EVF in periods but essentially prefer the Leica M as simple as possible without any extra stuff.
