what's the difference with rubicon by greg wilson? it seems to be a similar effect, when the colors match
@TeamBonkersConkers4 жыл бұрын
Got it. Love it. Question: For e.g the Gear Solve, what colour side do you think is best to show the audience for the reveal? Akira chooses white. JC favours red. Old teacher knowledge says yellow chalk shows up better than white n a chalkboard, What colour pops and shocks the best do we think? Big decision. I'm stuck.

I watched the trailer tons of times, but funny enough, it was on this video I actually caught what was happening. It is ingenious. So, he goes over the Venom Cube, stacks (assuming the same as Rubik's Dream), then there's the Gear Solve. Sadly, I don't like the idea of gimmicked cube matches, even if I already know of a way to ditch and switch. You've done a Top 6 Cube magic, may be you should do a Top 6 Cube match? If you can, that is. Help viewers like me try to see which ones to buy and for what reasons.

@dmr7788105 жыл бұрын
@@magicorthodoxy Being part of the Facebook page, someone discussed about a ditch they use to make both cube examineable. That's what I was talking about
@magicorthodoxy5 жыл бұрын
meh, I would never do that - over kill. The cube was examinable BEFORE the effect - Magicians who are better at handling their audience don't need to be constantly having their props fondled

Hi Dave, thanks so much for the review! Just to clear something up: in spectator pov, the spectator mixed up cube matches the cube on the table. After that, the “prediction cube” goes back to the table and you solved their “mixed up cube”. So in their pov, the cube that they mixed and you solved it at the end. That cube is examinable.

Could the prediction cube be RD Insta? So you put "their" cube away and magically solve the prediction cube? 🤔

@@magicorthodoxy yeh let's go with "intermix" haha. OK so in other words both cubes would need to be "venomous" so to speak? Specifically for the purpose of the venom effect?

I didn't know how this gimmick works until I see you holding the cube at 3:26. How clever. So that's why it's called a VENOM cube! If you familiar with the Marvel's villain, Venom is sentient alien who survives by STICKING with a human host. Okay, now I have to purchase this.

Ah yes - the improvement were in the construction and handling of the cube. I never owned the first one, so I can't speak much to the improvements. The new "updates" in 2.0 don't change the routine at all... it's all stuff only the user would notice

You dont need to know how to solve a cube to do this trick
@robh9134 ай бұрын
@@magicorthodoxy Actually you do. You have to know cube stacks, which you will only understand if you understand how to solve a cube. If you accidentally mix your cube, you're screwed unless you know how to solve. He does give you a place to go to learn how to solve in the tutorial, because you have to know how to solve a cube. After I saw that, I boxed up the cubes and will give them to someone who knows how to do all of that.
