It's a super light. I have a few magicshine lights. The beam pattern is rarely discussed and frankly it should be. It's by far the best feature of the magicshine brand. They have nailed it. The remote is great too. Except for the bar mount. This is shocking! I have invested time in developing a 3D printed clamp thar replaces the rubber pad and velcro strap. It's a 1000 times better!😂 best light I have ever owned in 30 years of night riding.

where/how do you mount the battery?

The Magicshine 6500S uses a wired battery pack, you can use the velcro straps to attach it to your bike's top tube or put it in a handlebar bag or top tube bag.

only thing i do not like it has no swivel mount/ cant be adjusted once attacked to Garmin mount

Damn, I just bought this with a garmin helmet mount. No adjustment will be an issue :(
