I know this is an old video, but you can definitely snap the retaining strap if you over tighten the mount. I've done that

I’ve never over tightened mine cause I’ve always had carbon bars so I’m always careful not to over do it 😂. But I could see that as a possibility if you tightened it to much.

What are the differences between L&M Seca Enduro 2500 & the MagicShine Monteer 3500?

That’s a really tough one, the monteer is brighter with a brighter center patch due to its hybrid light design . Definitely a tough choice if you were choosing between them.

So, spot and flood, would that negate the need for also using a helmet light?

Yes and no, I would still run a helmet light so that you can better see around corners. But if you only had to have one light this would work pretty well 👍🤘
