Magicshine Monteer 6500s Zeus Review - Night Riding Unlocked

We gave one of our loyal Patreon Members the opportunity to test a light for us as a thank you for this support and love for the Wolf! Check out Jason's impressions of this awesome night riding mountain bike light.
With summer slipping away the need to extend ride time is a valiant pursuit. Jason, a long time Patreon Member, puts the Monteer 6500s Zeus from Magicshine to the test in local dense woods on into the dark in the PNW.
Offering 6500 lumens, supplied by a 10,000mAh battery for 1.5 - 2 hours, we mounted it up to get some after hours riding in. The provided alloy garmin style handlebar mount offers a secure way to keep the light fixed and prevent slipping down. With 4 levels of brightness, and a flash mode, the wide beam distributes the light well without a blinding hot spot on center.

note that you can, and IMO should turn the mount upside down, putting the lamp in front of the stem, it looks better, and the light is protected in case u falll forward, the new model has a remote, highly recommended, oh and magicshine is a chinese company, not USA

The light is OK, but the price is out of space! Absurd. For this money you can buy several equally good lamps

Why do you say that? What do you like better?

@@martinschwartz7342 All my magicshine batteries have either failed at the contacts or in the battery circuit. The lights are fine. I've bought lights from Blackburn instead. Not as bright, but no cables.

I really like the "Garmin" handle bar mount that magicshine sells. You can use it to mount any light as long as it has a GoPro mount (which Magicshine and my Blackburn's have). And for gravel and road use, you can have you computer on top, and your GoPro mounted light underneath.
