i love how every hotline miami character has its own themes that represent their personality through the theme itself both in combat and in non combat situations (like the transitions of every chapter in their own houses) jacket has a very psychodelic ost in his house and an energetic ost in battle showing how decided is jacket to eliminate all of his oponents beard has charming and gentle ost in his bar or when resting with the rest of the ghost wolves, and unlike jacket his battle soundtracks arent really murder-inducing as jackets soundtracks are, they sound more strategic and encouraging the list goes and goes since there are a lot of characters in the hotline miami saga

It took me a while to figure out why I liked this song so much above the rest of the soundtrack, but I realized it has a tone that you find nowhere else in the game, or the first one. It's heroic. This isn't the selfish bloodshed that everyone else goes through. You're on a suicide mission, but it has to be done, and if wasn't you it would be someone else. This music gives me the feeling of trying to overcome something nearly impossible. When all the odds against you, everything around you feels shattered and prostrate. You are exhausted, your body's in pain, and mind is lost in a fog. But yet, there's still fire in your chest, it lits and overflowing your body once more, one more push, one more try. "I know it's impossible, but I must give it a try, we've come too far to go back, one more step forward, just one more, and we're done, we're free". That's music of glimmer of hope and determination that comes from it. It felt great in HM. And feels great in real life.

This song sums up the entire story of Beard's Unit in the Russo-American war. It sounds like the sweetest victory and the most crushing defeat at the same time. The Ghost Wolves unit all know that they're going to lose the war to the Russians, and that nothing can be done against it. However, while the outcome is inevitable, they'll keep fighting until the end of it, not necessarily to hold onto their slim chance of winning, but to at least see it out to the end. To survive. To see another day, without the worry of an ambush or a near-impossible suicide mission awaiting them right outside their doors. This song, to me, represents Beard's dedication to making it out alive. His determination to live in peace, and to live that simple luxurious dream to find that little convenience store, and put a little TV next to the register, and just sit there all day, relaxing.

To me its something beautiful. Time and time again the world itself feels so bleak to me that i cant see any hope in it, its a slog at points, menacing tasks day by day. Fear that there might not be a tommorow. In a sense at the end of the day this song just gives me a deep sense of pure perseverance...showing you that there are little things you have left. Showing you the way home. I guess it really showcases how Beard felt, being sent off to die

Seriously one of Magic Sword's best songs. The overall intensity, epic synth lines, and mind-blowing drop make this piece an incredibly melancholic banger.

This song has always been my favorite track from HLM2. It's almost a perfect representation of what Beard and his team were feeling in the moment: pure excitement and raw dread.

In my opinion casualties is the best level of the game, not for its gameplay but for its history, after what happened last night you have a bad feeling, You feel that someone from the squad can leave at any time, the music is sad but with touches of joy, reflecting that despite everything there is hope that the Ghost Wolfs can return home and live away from that violence, the atmosphere with the first floors in a sunny place, with yellow tones make you feel the hope of the Wolfs to suddenly leave Hawaii , the atmosphere with the first floors in a sunny place, with yellow tones make you feel the hope of the Wolfs to suddenly leave Hawaii, But go to everything you feel that something will go wrong, you are waiting for fate to decide who will leave and go if you regret the loss...

As a long time Hotline Miami fan, I've always loved this song. Fast forward to a few days ago when I'm playing the VR game Pistol Whip, and I find this song in the game. Genuinely, playing the level and shooting goons in time with the rhythm of this amazing emotional song with such a strong historical connection to my life since 2015 was a transcendent experience. I nearly cried.
