0:20 "Owen Turtenwald, who you just watched draft" - did I miss a video? The draft I watched was Seth Manfield. Maybe Marshall means I just watched Owen's pod draft?

Martin MacKenzie It sounds like the livestream watched Owen’s draft but it wasn’t uploaded to KZbin.

i dont know why they are not showing seth manfields games when he is in the feature match area. only after he is gaming for top 8. normaly if they show draft that players game is what we see in the feature match but not if it is seth manfield. when owen was number one you saw 2-3 match of his but when manfield is you dont

So.. Israel attacked with a creature and just forgot to tap it for a second.. and then Benjamin immediately jumped at the chance to try to prevent two damage to himself by acting confused? Nice try Benjamin, you're not fooling anyone with that ridiculous ploy.

he got even more about when he was about to lose and it happened the second time.

Yeah, if someone verbally announces the attack and also shoves the creature forward, it's very clear that they want to attack. Trying to cheat through the judge because your opponent is nervous on camera is really not okay.

Idk about that.. if he doesn't tap the creature sideways, then it isn't attacking in my book.

christopher lacey Putting your creatures forward and turning them sideways is attacking, but all you have to do is make it clear that you're attacking. Israel did that, by moving the creatures forwards. He just had to be reminded to tap one, because he was a bit nervous. You know, people always try to be quick at the protour, and he just forgot one thing. It's not a misplay. It's also a matter of his opponent taking advantage, though. Benjamin was making the bad move, by trying not to take damage from a creature that was clearly attacking him. This is the kind of thing that needs a friendly reminder, you can't really justify how Benjamin tried to pretend like he didn't see Israel move both creatures forward and say 'attack'.

Totally agree. Having played in these larger events and experienced this sort of thing really turns people off to the game. These are things that people shouldn't try to manipulate the game through. Really dislike Benjamin's reaction and attitude in this match. Boo.

Gotta love the class act that is Ben Weitz. Drafts an absolutely terrible deck, plays terribly, then has the gall to act like he doesn’t understand his opponent is attacking. Obviously he is salty after the match too, look how quickly he packs up and leaves, angrily signing the match slip. Ben Weitz now WORKS for Wizards of the Coast, by the way. I hope Ben and the people at WOTC see this comment and I hope it ruins Ben’s day and I hope WOTC puts consideration into whether this is the kind of person they want working for their company. Absolutely astonishing.

wow, Owen's games were so bad.. reminds me of basically that one match loss you always seem to get no matter how good you are/how good your draft deck is.. the draft format is just susceptible to shitty draws.. Granted, I believe that first keep was rather risky.. 5 land keep ehh.. not enough action and then to somehow proceed to draw more lands was just fail. The following game.. somehow not drawing that 5th land for 4 cards was pretty wtf..
