That is fantastic, I can't count the number of times I've gotten deliveries on a construction site, and didn't have a good way to get it off the truck.

@bigredc2227 жыл бұрын
My first instinct was that it's great , but now that you made me think about it, it does take a job away from the guy you'd have to hire with a forklift or crane to do it, at this point I'm just glad it's still being done by a human. They have automated fork lifts loading trucks now.
@samf1797 жыл бұрын
C Smith I see. I dont work in a building or construction job so I dont know of the difficulty in removing a load off of a truck. So I couldnt tell by your comment if the tech was useful or it was sarcasm. But yeah I have heard about those automated fork lifts, I find it crazy to think about computers being sophisticated enough to move loads around autonomously. By the way sorry if my original reply before sounded like I was having a go. That wasnt my intention. I could have worded it a bit better.
@bigredc2227 жыл бұрын
No worries, most people don't realize everything that's involved with building something, no worries. Most job sites have a backhoe on the job that's able to unload your delivery, and the operator will normally do it for you if he has time, if you know you'll be getting a lot of deliveries, you buy the guy a case of beer or slip him some cash. When there's no machines on the job that are able to do it, you need to rent one or hire an operator with a machine, and hopefully the guy that bid the job figured that cost into the bid. What happens a lot, you're getting several pallets of material and no way to unload them, so you have unwrap them and unload them one piece at a time, it can take an hour to do what a machine could do in a couple minuets, so when the guy doing the delivering is able to unload it himself it's nice.

+pexto Did you even watch the whole video? Because it seems that you completely missed to point of this machine.
The same thought occurred to me - walking backwards is risky, so why was the operator doing that? He could have walked behind the machine, or, as you say, sat on the engine cowling, but that would carry greater personal safety risks if the load tipped backwards.

the idea that the unit is protected from the elements during transport is very good. I think the downside comes from the machine being small enough to pack in a small place to it not being capable of lifting much. I would be curious to know the weight capacity for the little lift that packs away. I drive a truck with a Palfinger crane on it and the ease of operation is amazing. in rough terrain such as a construction site, would the Crayler be stable with a load on it? anything works in a parking lot, but we don't always deliver to a parking lot.

Very nice vehicle and system i like it ;-) I do however see some problems with how it is transported below a semi trailer. Reason are in many countrys there are speedbumps and it do not look like there is enough room inbetween the box and the road. So the box hit have a very high risk og begin ripped off when it hit a road bump. So in many places a vehicle that attach to the rear of a semi trailer is better. But i very much like the idea from the video, just saying it might not be a solution for everyone.

@MagictrainsOrg8 жыл бұрын

@danielrose13927 жыл бұрын
@JakeKackklo7 жыл бұрын
