You should go over the support gems in these build showcases. They play a big part to the overall playstyle. You need to get added fire damage to attacks on your rings. Check out magma spray attack percent. To do this, hover over the magma barrier, hold alt, click on magma spray. My magma barrier is lvl25 and has 711% attack. This means that every 1 point of flat damage is turned into 7.11. This is how you boost your damage by insane amount. A breach ring with flat fire damage would be massive. But really, any flat damage. The best ring would probably be added damage for all 3 elements and then have a elemental catalyst on a breach ring. This would turn 1 damage into 1.5 (from catalyst) then into 12.16 damage with magma sprays damage %. You can also get +3 melee skills on you amulet, making the potential max of magma barrier 34; 20 gem, +1 corrupt, +1 fire mastery, +2 gloves, +3 amulet, +7 weapon (with giants blood). This will probably get that attack % to like 1500%, I'm not sure, but it would be crazy. I still recommend Warbringer. Renly's Training, Anvil's Weight and Encased in Jade. Jade gives 1% physical damage reduction and stacks up to 10. It's very hard to find anything that powerful in the game at the moment. Armour Break itself is bait, but it allows you to use Exploit Weakness for 50% more damage when the Armour Break is consumed. It's massive. This would turn that 12.16 damage into 18.24. Then pairing that with Execute gives another 40% more to bring it up to 25.53. For every 1 damage, you turn that into 25 damage. So crazy; and that is just at gem level 25. Definitely drop Overwhelming Presence. You are not focusing on stun or ailments. Charge Infusion will give you more defense while having an Endurance Charge. Armour Explosion on you Resonating Shield would be so strong with your AOE and Witch Hunter explode. You would probably clear the whole screen quicker. Thanks for the shout out. Its actually baus Huck. But its cool, everyone thinks its bau shuck. lol. The build is fun to play and you explored a different way to play than I did. This is what makes PoE great. I am jealous of your AoE.

You do not want added flat damage with this build. The base flat damage of this skill scale really well with levels so added damage is not really effective. For example: In end game with level 34 skill gem (You can go higher than that with Jewel Prism of Belief + Amulet Fire Flower), the base damage is 4226-6339 (Not even counting damage from shield armour). Adding ~360 flat damage (3 top tiers added flat damage with perfect roll on both rings + gloves) is a more damage of ~7% (360/5250)

For defensive value, you can also try the node that let armour be used on fire damage from hits. Which has increased value since you make the fire hit so small with CoF. But its another layer of defense vs physical which you dont feel bad against atm

Some notes: You don't have much crit and you're not building for crit. Go with Resolute Technique and you'll have 100% accuracy and won't miss the crits with your current setup. Also, get + skills on your amulet. Also, you can get +7 melee skills on a 2h mace if you run Giant's Blood (to wield it one-handed). You'll be doing probably double damage with those changes.

Thanks! Ive already added a fire spells neck to my kit, that tripled my damage. There is also a jewel that's +3 magma barrier. Pretty confident I can get this over 1 million

Cool Build! If you can find a spot with a lot of passive nodes around for an Against the Darkness jewel you can get one that gives you +%life per small node and +max fire resistance per notable in a large radius. I run blood mage but there's a spot where I get +18% max life and 5% max fire resistance from just one jewel socket at the top left of the passive tree from a 1 divine jewel. Perfect for a life-based cloak of flame build! Maybe there's a good spot for Witch Hunter as well.

For Warbringer Ascendancy - if you have problems surviving magic hits, the Turtle Charm allows you to block all hits, even ground aoe. And that would improve proc rate of Magma Barrier.

Those two don't work together, Turtle Charm says it only works while not actively blocking, and Magma Barrier requires active block. It's mutually exclusive

Hey, as u said magma barrier scales crazy with gem level. U can use Fireflower Solar Amulet for +4 and as always Prism of Belief for another +3. Maybe if u are planning to try titan take a look at gemling as well. Quality for magma barrier is rly nice for QOL and another +1.

I think Time of Need over Overwhelming presence would be a better thing. Might be worth checking out. The bursts of life + cleansing of curses/ailments about every 7 sec is helpful

Nice build, I'm doing something similar with an infernalist witch, aiming for a low-life ES version of this idea, but with Ancestral Bond totems as well. I figured as the gearing is somewhat similar I could combine a block build with sunder totems. It won't come online until my third ascendancy when I can gain a couple hundred more spirit but so far magma barrier, resonating shield and a single totem have felt very comfy. Also I haven't reached it on the tree yet but have you checked if Core Of The Guardian node increases the damage from your shield or if it only increase the contribution to defenses? BTW there's a spot down on the south-west of your build where you could save two nodes by pathing along the outside ring past Avatar of Fire then clearing between the jewel nodes on the path you've taken to it's right. Unless you're planning to backfill to get Resolute Technique and Heatproofing, in which case it's net even whether you path on the outer or inner ring.

I playing as Titan Warrior Magma & Resonating Shield, already 160k DPS on Magma, but i'm not focusing only on trigger magma but on armor break detonating, and one totem to pull agro on mobs and damage. Works very, very well, on breaches. I wanted to create real fast titan warrior tank usltilizing resonating shield as damage dealer n totem via magma barier which clears whole screen, one shooting rares and everything. Totem damage is decend too, it stuns it knockbacks enemies. I really dont like builds where you focus on one thing. Like only totem, only magma, only something. I just wanted to plas as warrior on close range blasting everything. Where i have to roll back i use my totem to pull of agroo from me and clear, kill too. On my channel i have little showcase on pre build, now i clear whole screen with resonating shield, magma, totem. I really like my build because on leap too, i like moving and fighting with everything at the same time, leap here - resonating & magma, leap here, leap out, in, shield bash, etc. I thought about reroll on warbringer but i will stay on titan to see what i can reach on my build. I have to improve only my equipment now and maybe gems.

Hmmm idk if this is viable but Acolyte of Chayula might be good for reflect since it scales all your dmg with added chaos and you can go a mind over matter build with mana leach for survivability

If you go titan you can probably use Avatar of Fire. There is also a unique chest that does Fire Thorns damage. I'm not sure it is any good but it exists. Oh, nvm you already know.

How much does shield armour scale the damage? Because there are lots of +defence on shield nodes around you that can tally up to about 400% more defence (as titan) which applies to its armour and presumably the phys damage reduction stat too. This also comes with the 2-3% bonus damage per 75 armour on shield notables (greatest defence and spiked shield).

im pretty sure those passive nodes dont scale the damage at all due to the way they work, they dont actually increase the armour on the shield, they just give your character armour based off a % of whats on your shield. same with the increased armour from body armour nodes, which is why those dont effect the thorns notable. Would love if ggg changed this tho tbh, its kind of annoying that it doesnt work.

I'm playing something similar with infernalist converting the damage taken to fire and reserving 25 % life to be low life, focusing on armor break with resonating shield to crit with Sunder. I use magma barrier for clear and sunder for bossing. This has really nice synergy with cloack of flame but eventually I felt still too squishy so I changed to the 50 % life converted to ES and now I have 8k ES and can't die...

Wouldn't gemling legionnaire be better for this than witch hunter? +1 to skills, more quality is more damage scaling for magma barrier and easy max fire res cap. You should also absolutely path to and grab Giant's Blood, because you can get +7 to melee skills on a twohander. With that setup, I'd expect you to be able to get level 30+ on your magma barrier, which according to poe2db will amp the base damage and added fire damage by like 200%. As for the anoint, there's Cremation for a 25% exposure and 15% pen, or Unexpected Finesse to gain accuracy equal to your Strength. I also wonder if nodes that increase Shield Defenses would increase Magma Barrier damage too, or if MB scales off of base shield value, because there are single nodes that give 100% increased Shield Defenses.

Better to buy unique helmet which heals you 20% per 3 seconda from corpses. Is really cheap and you will forgot about life flasks.

No, magma barrier's damage is entirely reliant on levels and shield value. the onlyh contribution from a weapon would be + melee levels and increased elemental damage
