Seeing these clips, it seems that everything else about the character was real, though. When I saw some episodes as a child the sound effects and rapid cutting made the stunts seem fake (because that is what directors could do to conceal various tricks) but apparently they weren't.

Back when aerobics was a thing.... until doctors started to warn about the extreme damage to joints from all that relentless jumping and straining. Aerobics died as quick as they came. I remember that there was even a morning TV show for a daily routine in the PBS channel. It was really a craze when it came out. You modern kids missed all that era.
