Reminds me how lucky i got buying my replica evo2 in 2006 for $5,000. $800 for evo2 wheels that required $1,100 to fix them. And $80 for my S600 grille.

I built an Evo2 replica starting with a 1986 Cosworth 16v. It cost me $8k all in to build the car, doing all the labor myself. The car was $4500 as a rough driver. It had 3 piece OZ 17 inch wheels for R129 chassis ($400 from Ebay), and PPG base/clear metallic black paint. The Evo2 kit was used but never installed at $1k shipped (total junk fiberglass kit), but I was able to sell off a lot of the 16v Cosworth body kit to recoup that cost. I must have had 200+ hours into body and paint, but it came out perfect. Never do that again.

And you didnt do the engine... im 15k into mine 2.3+ next gen kompressor... and im doing the small evo kit... next car i do will be the big evo with 2.5TD ... 20k only for evo2 kit.... i dont wanna think about it :D PS. There is a company in Bulgaria that is currently making( still not ready for selling) evo 2 kit for decent money and quality...

There's a company in Germany (Göckel) who sells these Evo II bodykits for like 4.000€. They can also do it for you with paint for 7-8k. And those are street legal too.

I’m sorry but you got scammed on the body kit and car itself. I bought mine for 500$ dollerydoos clean title 0 rust but blown motor so far am 3500 into it and is an amazing car. The kit could have been bought for 2k and still fixed the all that work. Very cool build although love how it came out but you paid way too much.

I was thinking the same. I got mine for 1700 running with no rust, I even bought a 87 2.5td for it's perfect interior, running with perfect body only $1k I got the windshield replaced 2 weeks ago $306 out the door, and I got evo 1 chromies for $800, Even before owning mine, I used to see evo2 kits for $1.2k and like $350 shipping, I don't really see the $20k justification, because aa it sits, it's still a run down base 2.3, None will give him more than $5k max for the whole thing....
