Yeah, I really enjoyed Rise on my Switch but it’s nowhere near as atmospheric as World. They had to sacrifice alot to bring this game to Switch. I’m going to get the Rise expansion but I’m looking more forward to the new MH developed for PC and current gen consoles.

@ those textures originally came from switch, what they did here is to upscale those existing textures to make it look good on pc, and they actually did a good job in doing it for 4k since those textures were originally made for 720p and 1080p. so expecting a texture originally from a 720p hardware to look like world's graphics in pc is a bit too much. if it was originally made for consoles like ps4/5 then it might be like that to world's but no. and what do you mean by 2021? it came from switch and it look good on switch in 2021, remember that it is a port not an overhaul for a new IP for pc.

Overall, I enjoy seeing the higher res textures and higher frame rate. Comparing the graphics from PC Rise to MHW/Iceborne, in my opinion, not a solid comparison just because both games have their unique art style. And both should be appreciated for how well they look. This is, to be honest, the best of both worlds, of the realistic style of MHW and the classic style of past Monster Hunter games. Can't wait for this to come out, and hunt with more friends! Also hopefully the "port" of Rise to PC is solid.

Comparing switch rise to mhw, it definitely doesn't look as good. Now with the pc port, it's obvious that it's not because of the artstyle but because of the resolution and fps limit of the switch. It just looks as good as mhw now. The artstyle of rise doesn't limit the quality/realism of the graphics. It's different than mhw but both looks really good

Overall world/iceborne is a much better game not just in terms of graphics but also monster design and as a hbg main especially ammo swapping etc (just awful in rise). but i do agree that even tho rise is imo inferior to world is does have its charm especially through the wirebugs possibilities of exploring the maps and the implementation of endemic life into fights. another good thing about rise i guess is the low loading times for players without a good ssd. some friends of mine hat huge problems with that in world

Theres not a single carapceon or leviathans in sight sooo yeah. Hunting simulation wise and end game grind world beats rise. But holy shit i really dislike the clutch claw mechanic. It became not a tool to help you but a necessity to constantly be tenderizing the monster.(back then pre iceborne clutch claw didnt had that shaver jewel so it was really annoying/hassle . Not to mention that it forces monsters to be in a weird drooling trance state because of this mechanic. Clutch claw became better after they added shaver jewel but it came a tad bit late(during the last monster update, fatalis)

Uhhh... Rise's LS is basically identical to Iceborne's LS. The only difference is that you use the ZR+X/R2+∆/RT+Y wirebug and then press ZR/R2/RT for the helmsplitter, and quick sheath has a much more noticeable effect on Iai sheathe than before.

Hello, how do you do that perfect 'delayed' Spirit Helmbreaker damage (the ones where the character jumps high then the damage is delayed for a while after stabbing the ground)? Am new to the game and I could only trigger that like about 15% of the time, most of my helmbreakers only do the low jumps plus low damage proc times/damage while falling.

The regular attack without the delayed hits is Plunging Thrust, and that's what you normally do after landing on a monster after Soaring Kick (the wirebug move). You do Helm Breaker by holding ZR (shoulder button) after you start Soaring Kick. As long as you are pressing ZR when you land on the monster, you'll do Helm Breaker. The hunter's notes might have info on it, but if not the switch skill menu at the item box will also tell you about the skills. When in doubt, check the hunter's notes

I played mh World for more than 1600h, main longsword(like 2k uses) and i tried longsword on rise demo and i feel that every attack is a little delayed since I press the buttom, is it normal or im having some issue with my controller? I have no problem in any game with it. Maybe is a change they did to longsword in rise but idk im feeling stressed about it... Sometimes I press the buttom that i want to attack with and the animation never comes until I spam the buttom again, thanks for answers in case you do!
