I love your choice of switch skills in this loadout, in particular your choice not to use helmbreaker or sakura slash. I remember your video about not using harvest moon, and one of the big points being the small size leading to switch skills kicking you out of it. You using that parry in place of those 2 abilities not only shows me a good use case for it, but how to get around some of the disadvantages of harvest moon! So much to learn still from you Peppo, thank you, keep hunting!

Beautiful, such display of skill. Simply awesome. Have you ever tried doing some "hardcore" run with normal armor but without quick sheath lvl 3? I always thought the special sheath animations from lvl 1 to 2 looked way cooler, but obviously it's not practical to run that in a normal hunt.

I haven’t thought about that yet, but if you want to know my opinion, if you don’t play with QS3 I guess you can use Sacred Sheathe counter + Sakura + helm breaker and Redirection and something cool might come out

It's remarkable how you're able to play near perfect for so long. You must have spent so many hours fighting just this one monster to learn it's attacks perfectly and figure out a response to each one them. Sometimes i play so well for a minute, dodging every attack and punishing each of them perfectly, and i think to myself "man i'm so good at this game" then i see this and realize what dedication really means.

Have spirit reckoning combo switch skill on. When you do the spirit combo or do a successful LSS hold the analog stick in a direction and press R. Same when doing the spirit reckoning combo, before the second spirit slash just hold the stick in the direction you wanna move to and press R. Not moving the stick you will just stay in place.

Quick Sheath is one thing but the skill level and the confidence to execute those skill is what made the different , if you don't know the monster well enough to choose what kind of counter move to use then you will be death most of the time, ISS counter leave you vulnerable to 2 hits or 3 hits combo, but you can always chain with Tempered or Serene Pose to counter that, the question is whether your reaction fast enough to pull the second counter move. Great vid as always.

Incredible Peppo. I have to ask, how much faster do you think it would have been if you had Crit Draw as well as quick sheath? How many hours/runs did it take you to do this run? That aside, your movements are so fluid, and your timings so crisp. I know we don't get to see the failed attempts, but when something like this comes out it's truly astounding.

Interesting that you say it's one of the trickier fights with LS, seen as with IG I find Scorned to be noticably easier than normal MR Magna; I'm no speedrunner and garbage with LS in SunRise though so that'll warp perspectives. If you hadn't had to take Tempered Spirit Blade I assume Helmbreaker would've been your choice? A very good run though, congrats ^^

It’s tricky because there are some attacks that if you use ISS then you are defenseless and you get hit by the next attack. In general monsters have maybe 1 attack like that where you can’t ISS or maybe 2 but Scorned has 4 xD That’s the tricky part!

The reason it's trickier is because it has multiple attacks like 4:20 where many people stay sheathed to counter the first hit and get animation stuck into the second

@@PeppoLS I didn't realise Scorned had that many counters for counter heavy playstyles, very interesting! That sure makes it a lot more difficult of a fight for speedruns, especially with Adrenaline. Maybe I should pick up LS again, because it definitely looks like an awesome fight if you do it right (I'll pass on the 1 HP and I'm gonna wear some armor though ^^;)

Back in the day MH freedom LS just need more than quick sheath. Evade window is a must. Bcuz you only got slash and slash back then. Nowadays when you had played MH freedom before and moved to sunbreak, hardest thing is to remember combos and function of moves and just that you can applied it from your old skill. And the game seems easy after on

I love these videos where instead of simply speedrunning a monster, you actually show how to handle every single move of his. I feel like speedrunning videos are less and less interesting for me and probably for a lot of people, because at a certain point you start to realise that it more or less comes down to following a script more than a demonstration the player's skill. Of course, there is something cool to be said about a player (or many player) being able to follow a script precisely and without fail, but I much prefer videos like this one; we can actually learn a lot by watching a player of your (Peppo's) caliber doing a full hunt like this, and I'm all here for it. I really do wish more content creator would start doing runs like that, even better if more weapons join in on the fun (as long as they get to carry their core skills, like QS for the LS). In addition, that would remove the RNG problem that a lot of people seem to have with talismans and armor augmentations; it would really be two birds with one stone. I hope that you have fun as well doing these videos, and that you're looking foward to the next title updates Sunbreak has to offer as much a I am! I would be pleased to see more videos like this, if ever it is something you would like to keep doing. Greetings from Canada!
