Nice! I have Rega Elex-r, do you think it can work well with Magnapan 0.7 or 1.7s?

Thanks. Not sure. From what I can see in the specs of Rega Elex-r amplifier, they don't give the rating into 4 Ohm loads. Magnepans have a very linear impedance curve (i.e. resistive load) but it usually is between 3 and 4 Ohms. So your amp has to be comfortable driving this load. Maybe worth sending an email to Rega and asking?

What subwoofers would you recommend for tannoy little red monitors?

Not sure. I don’t necessarily believe in a particular subwoofer fitting particular set of speakers. Most of the time when people complain about subwoofer, it’s due to poor integration and not necessary the sub itself. Saying that, you need a decent quality subwoofer to start with (I.e. $500 plus). Checkout Erin's Audio Corner - he has done some good objective subwoofer tests.

As you have experiences, how much would there be a difference between 1.7i and LRS+ with subs. I have already 2x REL B2 in my current setup. I'm more oriented towards the LRS+ as I'm a bit afraid to put these quite tall 1.7i as my wife would throw me in the bin :). Speakers will be driven by Gryphon Callisto 2200. Any word or thought is pretty much appreciated. Best wishes in 23 and happy listening.

I’ve not tried the LRS with dual subs so it’s hard for me to comment. I totally get what you mean about the size of the 1.7i - they dominate the room, especially in my case. So if I was you, I’d probably start with the LRS+ and see how you feel about it. It’s a lesser investment and you’d be able to sell them with not much loss if you are not happy. I’d also recommend digital crossover if you don’t use it already - that makes a pretty significant difference in how well you can integrate the subs. Not much help - sorry. @@AudioNostalgia thanks for your answer it helps. One more questions. If you compare LRS and 1.7i alone, how is with the sonic difference. 1.7i makes much better sonic presentation or is there there? It is more grand sound? If you can drop a comment on that note what are the major differences with petitte model and bigger model.
